Wow, that’s the biggest armada battle I’ve ever seen! I know that you’ve already done a This is madness tournament (which was lots of fun btw) but this battle was truly madness! Good idea keeping squadrons points capped. Amazing season final episode, great job. The biggest game I’ve played is a paltry 750ish RItR final battle.

Another awesome Batrep! Damn... Damn that was some serious destruction on both sides. I dig how you limited the squadron amount to keep this a Fleet battle. The 'urban" map really does look great! Biggest game has only been an 800. Remarkably it only took about 2.5 hours or less. There were no squadrons but I reckon it would have made little difference. I think with some house rule limiting squadrons larger games are more feasible. Congrats, get some rest.. cheers!

Thanks, Juergen. This was fun and a lot of carnage all the way around. The Urban Planet mat from Imperial Star Shop really sold the environment for this episode, so shout-out to Robert for sending it out to us.

THIS IS EPIC!!!!! The text looks like the start of a clone wars cartoon to!

A major, if not the major, deciding factor in this game seems to be the CIS player not getting shots turn 2 while moving all his ships into range so that the GAR would get a round of shots, that momentum seemed to only accelate going further to the game.

You guys are plastic miniature space gladiators!!!! Well done fellas!!!!

Yes, we combined two of our collections to pretty much make any 1200 point fleet. We enjoy the game a little bit. ;)

We love the game of Armada. Until we've played it through (commanders, different combinations, etc.) I expect we'll continue to do so for some time. :) How do we keep everything in our heads... Trade secret. ;)

I absolutely love seeing this armada recreation of the battle of Corascant, but the one thing that ruins it for me are the Exogorth's. I wish it was just debris, so it felt a bit more genuine, bit apart from that this battle was amazing

Thank you, Holden. Glad you enjoyed this one - it was a beast to film and play! Even at this point level, we still opted to play with standard objectives. Perhaps if we were to do a future thematic battle, we might limit these choices (or create a new "scenario" objective).

Reminds me of the time back in 2004 when we managed to put together a 10,000 points-per-side Battlefleet Gothic game, although we had four players per team for that one and played on a 4'x16' table. Gloriously excessive and silly.

@@IONRadio Our big BFG game took about as long, maybe 9 hours all told with a lunch break. Really got decided somewhere around five hours in when a couple of key rams and chained ship explosions crippled one flank of the Chaos fleet, after which they just couldn't come back from it. They were real smart about disengaging cripples all game and it helped them keep it it to a marginal Imperial win. Not sure all eight of the folks involved would have been very happy if it had turned out to be the equivalent of a 10-1 bloodbath like you had, but thankfully it was close fought for us.

I would the to be a the separatists seeing that wall of doom heading towards them.

I am new to the game, but a few questions, it seemed like a lot of ships only fired out of one ark for one shot rather than 2 arches, and it wasnt just for the patriot fist. Secondly, how were all the black dice being used at long range? I thought focus fire only allowed to fire another color that was in the pool already rolled.

Thank you for watching! In a lot of cases, the black die being added at range was due to Swivel-Mount Batteries. This is an upgrade effect, not concentrate fire. As to firing out of only one arc (instead of two) likely this was due to positioning and a second shot was not possible.

Yes. Swivel-Mount Batteries let you "add 1 die of any color from an adjacent hull zone's armament to your attack pool." The only time range is checked relative to the dice color is when you form the initial attack pool.
