Hey Tots! Woke up early to get on this review as soon as possible. Here are our SPOILER FREE thoughts on the first two episodes. I think this is a fair assessment. I'm going to give it a full watch because there are elements I don't mind. I do think it feels "small" for lack of a better word. Also I'm not sure if they understand how to do the whole "mystery box" thing correctly because a mystery box is supposed to entice you with the mystery and make you care because you ant to know but right now I don't find myself caring enough and that feels off to me.

Small is a perfect word for it. I think Disney in general has had an issue with scale and scope. Despite going to planets and all that, everything feels generally ‘contained’. Not that I mind that, but lacks this grand galaxy feel. Part of me wonders if it’s the continued familiar characters/storylines. I am also struggling to attach to any characters, as well. Sol is probably it but that mainly comes down to to the actor’s presence

The choreography might be good, but why would a Jedi fight like that? I feel it’s inconsistent with the Jedi way of dealing with a situation like that.

Fair argument. I think the way I see it is the point and purpose of a lightsaber is beneath most powerful Jedi. This is something RedLetterMedia mentioned. Yoda’s powers revealed in the OT was amazing. Something that small could lift an entire ship. He didn’t need to have a lightsaber. I think the same is being shown here as both Masters in these fights were not fighting to kill. My two cents

OT fan here. I grew up on Star Wars. This is a fine show, not perfect, but entertaining enough to hold my interest. I’m glad that I gave it a chance.

What's wrong with Star Wars for everyone? Who's got Star Wars in every sauce to please more people? It's really nice that there's so much Star Wars! I really like the first two episodes! I can not wait to see the rest of the season!

Every audience deserves the shows it gets.

My expectations were low but holy fuck. Every single aspect is pathetic. Not a single redeeming quality.

How lgbtq is it?

The angriest comments are people upset, not cause they disliked it, but upset that some people DID like it lol. "REAL STAR WARS FANS BLABLA" OK nerd chill.

I think some of the loudest noise I discount as an actual argument against the show. The political discourse around Star Wars keeps away meaningful criticism. As I’ve stated before, criticism is just a perspective. That’s all. The show has some good going for it, but the writing is sloppy (as I pointed out in the review). Regardless, I’ve enjoyed the episodes thus far

Anyone who likes this series is obviously a new fan and doesn’t remember how powerful the stories used to be and how even the worst writing like the prequels still deliver epic star wars. This is far from epic, it’s just yet another way for Disney to ruin the legacy of starwars

Well you are factually wrong. I grew up with star wars and this was enjoyable. Obviously not as good as the old stuff but quit crying bro. You are just determined to be upset. Relax and enjoy some space stuff

The first 2 episodes is a solid 8/10 for me. Anyone saying it was very bad is just in the hate band wagon.

Nobody is wanting to be sad. Far from it. Plenty to enjoy here and if you enjoyed it, great!
