Just in case anyone is wondering.... NATO, in context with this trailer, stands for North American Theater Operators, not the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. And this particular trailer was meant to be seen by theater operators considering what films to open with, not for viewing by the general public.

The music used in this is from Black Sunday (by John Williams), Marathon Man (by Michael Small) and Islands in the Stream (by Jerry Goldsmith). All three of these scores were released on CD by Film Score Monthly just a few years ago!

Hello, 911? Yeah, ther're a NATO trailer parked in my front yard. No, I don't know. I don't know. Well, not much, it just sits there mostly, but every couple of hours these international soldiers in berets come out of it and drive around the neighborhood. Yeah, it's a little freaky if you asked me.

Steve L actually, there were three parts to that story. The novel you’re thinking of, “The Return” was the middle of a trilogy co-written by William Shatner. The whole story was known as the “Star Trek: Odyssey” trilogy. If it was able to be made into a film, I would’ve re-named it “Star Trek: Resurrection.”
