I was so upset when the fourth film had been cancelled. I’m an old Trekkie, but against other Trekkie opinions, I absolutely LOVED these films and they have a place forever in my Star Trek collection. Yeah, there were some cringe moments in Into Darkness (The ‘Nooooo!’ Scene. It’s always a NO scene that seems to flatline the ending of many decent films and shows.) but I still loved all three new Trek films regardless.

There really isn’t any cringe to speak of, including the ‘no’ scene; it’s a classic movie trope and Into Darkness is a tribute to a classic movie. Plus, I’m pretty sure no one has ever said that that kind of scene alone flatlined an ending.
