Genuinely didn't catch what the edit was until the rewatch. These just keep getting better.

I love the INtakes and how well you blend it as to seem it's taken from the streamed episode. I also like how it used to be "watch the how the funny part blends in" and now it's "try to figure out where the outtake is". Bravo!

Part of the reason why the outtake is so hard to find is that Patrick Stewart is just so damned good at powering through a flubbed line. Having experience with stage performance is amazing for that!

I hate interviewers who do that. Maybe it's different in the 23rd/24th century, but in the 21st, you give the interviewer a list of questions they're not supposed to ask and they **DON'T** ask them.

Star Trek's appeal was that it was (mostly) timeless. Okay, a few hippies on TOS and having a therapist on the Enterprise-D bridge severely dates TNG, but they are mostly timeless. Picard show was clearly written and directed in this time era and wil be as dated as that one TOS with Charles Napier as a hippie.

Absolutely. Sorry to put on my serious hat but there is a reason why Real Trek appeals to people who are so different. And why this abomination is hated by all, even though (or because) it is clearly supposed to be a militant platform for one faction against another.

Season 1 was disappointing and inconsistent. Season 2 was plain awful. Season 3 was decent and entertaining, especially compared to the first two seasons. But still could have been better. The thing I hate the most is that it isn’t due to a lack of budget, decent actors, etc. In many cases it’s just sloppy, lazy writing.

The plots of season 1 & 2 were nonsensical. Season 1 was the ultimate "MARTHA!" moment that threw all realism out of the galaxy. Season 2 was just one big "it was all a dream"-quality but it wasn't, simply to highlight cool MOMENTS without ANY intelligent plotting to bring those moments together, even ignoring anything they said one episode earlier. AND, season 1 & 3 can't make up their mind which universe they are in: the TOS/TNG/DS9/Voyager/Enterprise timeline, or the Disco/SNW timeline. Granted, season 1 & 2 had their awesome MOMENTS but the the whole does not add up to the sum of their parts, and the plotting could've been better if they hired a 5 year old playing with his action figures.

I enjoyed Picard S1 when it came out, I thought it was alright. It wasn't until S3 came out that I realised how bad it actually is. Barely recognisable as Picard.

He's right though. It IS no longer starfleet just like he IS no longer Picard and what Kurtzman and co have done to the franchise is a criminal act. RIP Star Trek.

  • @sarahberkner

It's not criminal, it's just a show, no one was hurt or had their basic human rights violated. Most people liked Picard season 3, and Star Trek having a poor first season or two seems to be the theme.
