Randy Eaddy if you read the books, they reveal that Trip’s death was faked so he could join section 31. The Holodeck simulation seen in the finale was based off of the section 31 coverup. Here’s the full order of the books if you wanna check them out! It’s the closest we’ll get to a season 5... 1. The Good That Men Do 2. Kobayashi Maru 3. Beneath the Raptor’s Wing 4. To Brave the Storm 5. A Choice of Futures 6. Tower of Babel 7. Uncertain Logic 8. Live by the Code 9. Patterns of Interference

Imo the rawest deal of all came in the form of the series ender should have stood on it's own and NOT been a holodeck simulation aboard Enterprise-D. And Trip's death was totally wrong. The set up was wrong and his character wasn't written properly in the moment. This was the successor to TOS that I would have gladly followed in movies

I can tell you exactly when I loved the show. It was an episode where the Enterprise finds out that other aliens in space were not helpful but actually were uncaring when it came to the plight of others. Capt Archer decided they were going to help. I felt like the coldness of space was a metaphor to the non human ethos of how these aliens thought. So it was like humanity by going out and meeting others had a positive impact upon their section of the galaxy.

Lesson to be learned - don't ever judge a show too harshly too quickly. Star Trek in particular, as season 3 is always the litmus test. It was true of TNG, it was true of DS9, it was even true of ENT. The groundwork was already laid in DSC for phenomenal improvement in quality (Hell, DSC had a much more notable season 2 improvement than ENT or even I dare say TNG). Give a show time to find its footing and figure out where it needs to go. There will always be stumbles along the way. But Star Trek has never been about destroying what doesn't immediately appeal to us. It is about learning from our failings, growing and moving forward, and facing adversity with determination, not hate and fear. And of course above all else - IDIC - Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations. There are no caveats to the word "infinite" My roommate was hesitant to watch Enterprise, but I decided to start him on Season 3, and he has adored it thus far. See what we deprive ourselves of when we judge on only the first few episodes and turn our back on it? For every "A Night in Sickbay" there is a "Proving Ground" and "Stratagem" (his favorite episodes so far). "Doctor's Orders" is next, and I can't wait for him to see that. He adores John Billingsley, especially from his appearances in Stargate SG-1. And then of course there is "Azati Prime" and "Damage". One of our greatest complaints about Voyager was how there were no consequences, and nothing from previous episodes carried on to the next. We are about to watch the exact polar opposite of that, and I feel it will be glorious :D

Beneath the Raptor’s Wing 4. To Brave the Storm 5. A Choice of Futures 6. Tower of Babel 7. Uncertain Logic 8. Live by the Code 9. For real, the suits who cancelled Enterprise deserve to be shot at close range. I love all Star Trek but Enterprise was truly awesome. I think Enterprise had the strongest core of characters, while each Trek series tended to have at least one weak character element, Neelix in Voyager for example, every character in Enterprise was strong and magnetic. It still grinds me after 20 years that they didn't get a full run. Such a shame that Jolene Blalock has divorced from all things Star Trek, it would have been great to see her here.

The reason Enterprise is so great, in my opinion, is that it successfully created an image of a future that we all want to be in. It's an invitation to a believable future, one that is absolutely within our grasp, where you can look back and think, "We made it. We did it right." It's a feeling of beauty so profound it literally brings a tear to my eye. TNG also had this feeling, as well as TOS to an extent. DS9 did not, although it was pure excellence nonetheless and still seemed to fit within Roddenbury's vision. Other Star Treks don't have that. Modern Treks, not at all, sorry to say. They do the exact opposite, creating ugly, awful environments, constantly warring, constantly fighting, trying to make a Space Western filled with villains, and troubled protagonists. It's NOT a future I want to be in. I DO NOT get a feeling of joy while watching them.

what John Billingsly said, about how it would be possible to get to that state of mind, to work together as people, as humanity, to where Star Trek has gone. And one thing people seem to forget often. That only after WW3 and other major conflicts, not to mention the fact that a couple of Vulcan's came along and said "Hi!" :) , only then mankind came together. Its also only through major conflict, that in the story of Star Trek, people have gotten to that point. We had our 2 WWs by now, but I think people will continue to bicker about who is better, who is more than someone else, who is richer and why wealth is always something that important for so many people, and to show that they have it. We have come a long way, technologicaly, but as people we're still no different than back in the middle ages, with the kings and simple folk. We havent evolved as a people, we only evolved in what we can do. As sad as that would be, if its something thats really necessary, but i think only a really really really big natural / climate desaster that hits the whole planet, or a war thats going to be so much worse than the first two World Wars, that the end of that can unite people and make them understand that its not possible to continue acting like this anymore, as humans. I mean, given how people are these days, if you were an alien and watch us a while from space, would you land here ??? Surely not. Not even Vulcan's would come, seeing that this is what we are. There is potential in mankind, but not the way it is now. Not to mention how countries are lead, from politics and the leaders of our countries. Lets not even put names out here, we all know what people there are, that really make this world so much worse every day. The vision of Gene Roddenberry is fantastic, but as i see it now, its also almost impossible to get more into that direction, given what the priorities for many are. For most people, caring about someone outside his or her family (if it even gets that far) seems almost impossible. People are selfish to a point, where you wonder how we even got that far. Something like the Federation in our time, seems impossible. And if we cant even get along with our own people, how would we be towards potential alien races we would encounter. Mankind isnt ready to get there anytime soon, which is more than misery. Not to mention, that as long as countries put so much money into finding ways how to beat the shit out of other countries, just to make sure everyone's just at arms length, finances to finally get anywhere in space will never happen. Wow, we got to the moon, like ages ago. And since, well, we didnt even get anywhere on our own planet, between people. Do we really, as it is now, spread ourselves throughout space ? To use something from Enterprise, when the vulcans said, multiple times, that humans aren't ready for getting out into space and meet other people, that was an understatement. But it more fits to us right now, than how Humanity was in Enterprise. Right now, we dont belong out there, as long we cant even get along together here, on earth. I wish that would change, and I wish that would rather happen sooner than later, but look out there, every day. Do you think we belong out there right now ??? I really enjoyed this videos, people coming together over potentially great distances, talking among each other and we being able to watch that, its the only good thing that came out of the pandemic. Although, given how bad this has become and how many people died by now, i dont think the word "good" would really fit. But again, through something bad, we got a little further with "connecting" people across the world, in a way that didnt seem possible before. Lets at least be thankful for this. And I want to thank Will Wheaton for this, and let me tell you Sir, you're doing an awesome job there as a host. I always loved your character on TNG, and thought also that it ended far too soon, but you have become a great guy and I really hope you help all of us, staying in contact with our favourite Star Trek characters. That some of us have watched for such a long time, and some I wouldnt even want to imagine without them.

I think John is saying, that when a fan tells him how they love how racism, sexism , poverty and wars has been eradicated in the future. He wants them to think about what action/s they can do now in order to make this a possibility. To translate the tv world into a reality (without having to have a third world war) now. Gene Roddenberry's vision fits right into this ancient biblical prophecy written centuries before Star Trek, also inscribed on a plaque outside the United Nations HQ, "....they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more." - Isaiah 2:4

Wheaton is an obsequious shill for the abomination that is Kurtzman Trek. Aside from the egregious continuity gaffes, the representation of Starfleet officers as thoroughly unprofessional emos, and the complete emasculation of Picard's character, there's one underlying truth that defines these shows. They were conceived by someone whose utter loathing of the IP, led to the premature and needless cancellation of Enterprise. His plan on bringing it back, was solely predicated on the premise that enough lemmings could be drawn in to prop up the network's moribund streaming platform. Nothing more. And who did he entrust this job to? Yet another individual who openly expressed his disdain for the franchise. The results were as predictable as they're evident to watch. One can only hope that international distribution eludes the network's grasp, long enough that the clear, though stonewalled, viewing failure of this iteration, lasts long enough that it's shut down for good. Better that the franchise end, than be maintained as a godawful scifi dystopian wannabe that just appropriates a venerated title. Unfortunately, there seems to be far less of an opportunity to reverse this course than is the case with SW.

So the one thing I am forever noticing with any enterprise cast get together it always quickly becomes a Scott love-in they all have nothing but good things to say about him, he sounds like a hell of a leader/mentor off set.

I just finished rewatching Enterprise, and feel like my life is missing 3 seasons of Enterprise. So much more could have happened and so much more exploration done before the signing of the charter. Sigh...😪 Really love this show

Enterprise was my first Star Trek. I was not at the time afraid of saying it, and I am not now, this was also my FAVORITE Star Trek. The cast was exceptional and I loved seeing a captain that was new to the universe having to make the tough choices. The NX01 is also my favorite ship design. Everything about this show made me smile... Except These Are The Voyages...

Gosh if there wasn't a Pandemic, and these guys were free from other Projects, I would love to see the studio revive this Series ... it's a different time now, and I think people will be more appreciative of the show. There are so many angles that could be explored. So writers of the Original show, or even new writers (if you're reading now), this would be a GREAT TIME, during semi lockdowns, to start building some ideas and then pitch them to the Studio. You have an entire audience here in the UK and clearly in the US and everywhere else, that would LOVE to see these guys come back! Scott, maybe you could get a hall pass on NCIS for a bit ... WE NEED YOU lol ... oh let a girl dream!

Such a shame Jolene doesn't want anything to do with her Trek fame. Would it really hurt her to do stuff like this? Plus, according to interviews with her from back then, she grew up a fan of Trek anyway, so she should know about the fandom thing.

I think she might be unhappy with the fact that her character was very un-vulcan like and they used T'Pol more as a lust object in the show. Those decon chamber other scenes where she was like 95% naked all the time. It adds nothing to her character development or to the spirit of star trek, it was just a bait for non trekkies/traditional viewers.
