AJ DiSpirito Great Album! I have google play music so I have it through that but I may just buy it to support your great work. Mario Galaxy has some of my favorite videogame music. I flipped when I first saw this album. This song has always been one of my favorites. Very well done. Heck, my grandma also thinks you are talented. She actually requested that I play some of your music. She never does that. Great job overall with your great music.

I really like your album. It feels like something you would hear in a Mario themed hotel at night when it’s peaceful.

Always takes me back to a simpler time. A time where I didn't have to worry. A time where I only had one thing on my mind. This thing I cannot speak of, but it is very important to me. And I hope I can go and find it in our day.

What a way to put my thoughts into text

Okay so... A little bit about me. I'm a 15 year old that grew up with both Galaxy and Galaxy 2. And my god they are both magical. Both these games will always be my favourite. And now a bit about you. Your music is out of this world. It perfectly captures the unique part required in a remix, yet it still tells the same story as the original piece. Not like any of those dubstep remixes and what not. And I don't want this to pass by as another random comment. No - I want you, AJ DiSpirito, to actually take a minute out of your day to think about what you've accomplished. Think about all these masterpieces you have created. And the weird thing is that i feel like there's finally someone on KZread that I fully understand. It's as if you get me, and I get you... If that makes any sense. And that's what the magical game and your even more magical music can do. We've never met, yet I feel that we fit together. Sorry for the long comment and I thank anyone for reading this to the end. I enjoyed playing Mario growing up and I still do, but galaxy and galaxy 2 will always have a special place in my heart

HEAVEN'SU DOORAH! JoJokes aside, I love this so much. One of those few "orchestra" mixes you can find on youtube that isn't.. under/over-"cooked", if you know what I mean. Not too noisy, not too quiet.

I listen to your music when I'm feeling down, and no medicine does the trick more than your work.

I just want to have the ability to go back in time, sit down on an old couch. When my younger self walks in the room, I just give him the controller and ask him if he is up for it. If I am up for a round or 2 of Mario Kart or just to enjoy Super Mario Galaxy together. I want to enjoy it again with myself ❤

I am quite young, only being born mid-way through 2008 but I had already played and watched Mario when I was only a year old, and I still remember the day we got our red Wii in 2010, the second game we played that day was New Super Mario Bros Wii. I played that game a whole lot, especially with my dad (I still have the same save file) and when I heard about Mario Galaxy I couldn't believe it! Mario in 3D, in space, and with good songs? Sounds like something out of a dream! We ended up getting Mario Galaxy 2 in 2012 but I had already seen videos on KZread of both games. I still remember the first time playing it, sitting the couch we had in our living room and being entirely immersed in the game. I played that game a lot with my dad, and just like NSMBW I still have the original save file. I would play it here and there for about 4 years when we ended up stopping at World 5 on the first (or second) level. We later moved into a new house next to my grandma, the house were my uncle had just moved out of after living there for years. I still remember playing games like Minecraft on my cousin's Xbox 360 from like 2009 (which they still have but sadly a lot of the worlds on Minecraft were deleted), but I'm getting sidetracked so let me move back to the original story. We moved into the house in mid-December of 2016 and at first I didn't play the Wii much unless I wanted to play Mario Kart Wii (another game i had since the early 2010's) and was trying to mod is to get CTGP-R. I ended up failing to mod it so I decided that the Wii wasn't worth playing anymore and transferred the data from my Wii to my Wii U which we had since 2012 or 2013. Every once in a while I would get on the Wii U to play Mario Galaxy 2 but I ended up getting stuck at another level and got bored of the game. Fast forward to 2020, it was the middle of Summer and I was looking for things to do when I stumbled upon my Wii, Mario Galaxy 2, and an old Prima Strategy Guide for the game we had gotten at a now shut down store in my city (not a whole lot of people but enough people that I would consider it to be a city, about 60k people) and I decided that now would finally be the time to put the guide to use and 100% completely finish the game. I had already known what I was getting myself into because I had watched Cobanermani456's playthrough of the game (please check up on him now if anyone seeing this has watched him, it's quite sad what's going on) around the time I got it, in fact, he's the reason why I ended up wanting it in the first place. I ended up beating Bowser a day before my birthday and over the course of the next month I would collect every star and comet medal. I forgot exactly what date I beat The Perfect Run but it really was a challenge, I was very tired but also very happy that I had completed what I had been thinking of doing almost all my life until then and I only had one more thing to do: beat Mario Galaxy 1. I had seen playthroughs of it and heard the entire soundtrack many times from KZread and the reused songs in Galaxy 2 and had heard rumors of Galaxy 1 (as well as 64 and Sunshine) coming to the Switch for the 35th anniversary. I remember being in my online class (we had a choice to do online or in person) and we were doing nothing so I was just playing on my phone until I saw a KZread notification pop up. It was from Nintendo, about the 35th anniversary. I couldn't believe it, I was so happy! I immediately clicked on it and watched it all. A few weeks later it came out, and oh boy was I ready to play. I played Galaxy 1 a lot, and sometimes even going into the soundtrack cd that was included in the game. A lot of people like to make of Nintendo for not doing enough, but personally I think the best way to play Galaxy 1 as a re-release is to keep it the exact same, adding more will take away the silent emptiness of the game. I experience a certain kind of nostalgia for Galaxy 1 that I don't experience for many things. I didn't play it when I was younger, but I was exposed to it a lot. I didn't hear the soundtrack straight from the game, but I listened to it through KZread and Galaxy 2. I like to call this kind of nostalgia "phantom nostalgia" or "hidden nostalgia", phantom as in I never really had memories of the game directly but it still resonates within me, and hidden as in it finds hidden and specific memories that you could only get if you never directly played the game. Memories of wanting it, watching it, loving it from a distance. Knowing and understanding the game but not interacting with it directly. The soundtracks are beautiful for both games, but personally I think Galaxy 1 has a better soundtrack. Galaxy 2 reuses some songs and still does it very good, but you can only hear songs like this in the original game. Thank you Mahito Yokota and Koji Kondo for building the most beautiful, majestic, intense, and memorable songs in all of gaming. I truly cannot express how I feel about both games and their soundtracks. Gusty Garden, Cloudy Court, Purple Coins, Gateway Galaxy, Luma's Theme, Fated Battle, these are just some of the masterpieces included in the soundtracks. In short, thank you Miyamoto for creating one of the most beloved video game characters, thank you Koji and Mahito for composing the greatest soundtrack of all time, thank you Yoshiaki Koizumi for writing one of the most simple yet touching stories I've read (Rosalina's Storybook), and thank you, AJ, for creating this beautiful remix of one of the most beautiful songs ever.

Everything about this piece is incredible, but the piano outro is truly outstanding. Every time I hear it, I imagine looking up at a twilit, starry sky. It's entrancing, really, it is! I'll even go as far to say this is the definitive version of the song, even surpassing the original!

Please tell me this is not the last Star Stories track... I love these so much please keep them going!!

my favorite in the album. in my opinion this is better than the original gateway galaxy theme, its just so soothing and has the perfect instrument choices. youve outdone yourself sir, well done!

I sadly have played Super Mario Galaxy 2 yet :( it’s been almost 10 years since it came out but I have never payed it, I’ve also never seen any gameplay or the ending because I wanna keep it a surprise when I do play it :) I played 1 when it came out and I loved it, it’s my favorite game of all time and I really hope I can get my hands on 2 soon :)

Some mumble rap has some thought put into it but i do agree that the vast majority of it is garbage.
