Thanks for your reaction to Dan's rendition of this great anthem. I love what he did with it. He got a lot of haters of America after releasing it but he didn't back down or bow down. He is a special human being and a great artist. God bless the USA.

the people that poured the dislike for his version didn't feel the passion for patriotism and the power in his delivery. Can you imagine Dan singing this version at the Superbowl ? The competitors would probably be so infused with power it would almost seem supernatural.

That was the most powerful rendition of our National Anthem! It was screaming we are strong, we will not bend a knee for some self serving reason! Sang this song with all the might of our Nation! 🇺🇸🦅🏋️‍♂️

Exactly! Well put. I'm Canadian, and I could feel the pride in patriotism through his rendition. And Even though Dan is not from the USA, It shows how much appreciation he has for your level of Patriotism.

His delivery of this song, makes me think of all the proud American people I know. They are passionately patriotic, and have a belief in the power of their military.

It was my pleasure to promote his version and other songs that he has performed. Dan is a versatile vocalist that deserves more success than he already has. I just hope that with my small channel that I can help get his music to more people that haven't heard him as of yet.

I am an Army brat. My dad, brother, uncle's and brother in-law's all military men. I loved it all he did a great job. The one that was a full Not No But H---- No was Roseanne Barr singing like a cat in the wood chipper. Disrespectful But this was very powerful. The was it should be song. Not some tea time music. Loved the POWER of each word. Thank you and don't let anyone tell you to stop.....

thank you and I totally agree with your assessment of Rosanne Barr's performance. I think it went down as one of the worst renditions of the anthem to date. Even though I am a Canadian, I felt the pride and passion for the USA through Dan's performance of this iconic anthem. Many thanks to your family for their service of protection for both our countries!

Heavy Metal is not my cup of tea, but I do think what he did was respectful and well done. My personal favorite, by far, of the Star Spangled Banner was one I heard back in 1986 for "Liberty Weekend" when they reopened the Statue of Liberty after massive repairs: kzread.info/dash/bejne/fJ5otZSmepqthdo.html

Any time a person sings the National Anthem for their own country, or especially for someone else's, the level of respect they give to that country should be shown and is shown in their delivery of that Anthem. Personally I thin very highly of Dan's performance because he did it in such a way that describes the passionately patriotic nature of the American people. I will check that link out for a possible future video. Thank you !

@@Crazykid949 One of the issues in the U.S. is an objection from some to singers who greatly ornamentalize the anthem. I think because it creates a feeling they are more about showing off their singing skills than in honoring the anthem. I'm kinda in the middle, I guess. I have loved some singers who did that. And I've hated others. Maybe it's just a question of how far they go, but I've never sat down and kept track! There is also the issue of the singers basic style. So, for example, even if a singer sings well, but has a country style, I'll probably not like it because the typical country tone quality never appeals to me! :) Same with the heavy metal style. In such cases, I try to evaluate it within that persons style - which is why I'm fine with your video even though I certainly wouldn't deliberately chose it. The link I gave (only the first half is the anthem) fits what I like the most. Even though it shows stunning singing skill, it still seems to keep to the basics rather than all that ornamentation.

@@da1bigkahuna I understand and fully agree that singers should not only take some liberties when singing an anthem, but not too many liberties to the point of ruining the feel of the anthem, but still make it a respectful, yet interesting rendition.

I watched that video that you linked, and I respect that you like that version so much. It was a good version, but in my opinion I personally didn't feel the passion and power that is one of the most evident qualities of the American population. Their pride in their country and their military is known far and wide around the world.

there actually have been a few good ones, some decent ones , but a whole bunch of really bad ones. I usually go outside for a smoke while someone ruins the national anthem when watching at home.
