#taylorswift are you listening to this music I awoke in a dream within a sonney James film you have to listen to him and tell me if you don't have any haunting insight into your hidden memory of pasts lifetimes

Since Sonny was married to a daughter of Red Foley and Pat Boone was married to another daughter of Red Foley..that made them brothers in laws. I did not know that Sonny was married to Red's daughter. I did know that Pat was married to a daughter tho. Too bad they could not have gotten together to record a song. I did prefer Sonny's singing over Pat's tho :0(

I don't think she was red Foleys daughter. Sonny met her in Dallas. I think she was a switch board operator.

When and where was this program "Star Route" aired...? I never heard of it until today. I knew about the Louisiana Hayride and The Grand Ol' Opry. Fill me in if you know. Great stuff.

This was a local show in Los Angeles.I don't think it was widely syndicated elsewhere. Gene Davis had the house band at the famous Palomino in North Hollywood and named his band the Star Routers after this show. Charlie Williams, listed as talent coordinater, was a DJ in Long Beach on country station KFOX 1280 AM and also a song writer and singer for Toppa records based in suburban Covina. Glen Campbell was a studio guitarist just getting his start as a singer on this show and the Melody Ranch show with Billy Mize and Johnny Bond.

Star Route had about 15-20 episodes back around 1960-61 or so. It was produced mostly in Canada but the earlier episodes were in LA. It seems to have been syndicated and not a network show. I don't think all episodes have been found. Would love to know more as well.

@The CAD Actually my older brother thinks he watched the show when he was a senior in high school which would be 1963. That fits with the show featuring George Morgan where he shows his family and daughter Lorrie is introduced as four years old. Lorrie Morgan, who went on to a long career in country music, was born in 1959. I was pretty young but used to watch with my grandma and don't remember the show running for more than about one year.

What happened to Larry’s voice sounds like he is really straining to sing ?

Yes that's true, his voice is pretty strained in a lot of the Star Route videos.
