7:06 for all those who say that, given that you can buy (or "commandeer" 😆) pre made ships by Bethesda that are "glitched", I'd say that it's a feature not a bug or glitch. Take the Warwolf for example. Try to change the cockpit to even a higher version (or simply move it around), and you'll get the red highlighted piece. Also I use the term "Merge" rather than glitch as it is more accurate. To me a glitch is like when people could access hidden inventories of ship techs and steal from them (before it was patched), as that was definitely not an intended game mechanic.

Very well said, and good points. I always considered merging parts a feature as well. As long as we’re not altering game files through the console or using mods, it’s all vanilla to me.

@@High_Key awesome build BTW... I don't normally like that bridge because it always feels like it sticks out, instead of blending with other parts (even Deimos). So while I'm normally not a fan of clipping into the interiors of ships, this is probably the best I've seen in making it look good and still be functional. Whelp, guess I'm going to have to build another ship for my collection 🤣

@@williamludwick77 and again, I’m right there with ya. Wasn’t a fan of this one but I do like the view inside and always wanted to use it for an exploration-class ship. Ended up using it on my three latest builds, one of which I’m still a ways away on doing a build video but it’s a mining ship.

Why is it asymmetrical? And how will it account for the unbalanced mass when the engines are all on one side?

Because we can 😅 if you take a look at a lot of my prior ships, you’ll see a lot of asymmetric, Outrider/YT-2400 (from Star Wars) inspired ship designs. I just love when an asymmetric build comes together. We can use our head-canon to justify the physics. In my case, that wing extension is a “heat sink solar array” similar to what you’d see on a TIE Fighter. Just all for fun.

It’s space. You can make a slave vessel that’s almost any shape. Besides, most of the mass is in the main hull

Realistically, this ship would just spin out of control. But this is a videogame with videogame logic, and it just looks cool!

It says that I don’t have enough landing gears what should I do?

Shoot! All you need to do is duplicate one of the HopeTech 6 or Taiyo Landing gears into each other. Might require just one or two more. You can duplicate them into each other and then select all then press space (accept) until everything sets in place.

I love it! I loved the outrider from Star Wars. If you ever get a chance check out my ship in my Starfield play-through. I called it the leviathan. I aimed for the asymmetrical look as well with the cockpit all the way to one side 😎

The Outrider is one of my favorite ship designs so many of my earlier ships were actually inspired by it too (I built 3 versions that are also on my channel: Drift Runner, Load Runner, Blade Runner) Just checked out your channel, any particular episode I should watch to see yours? I’m still having fun with it. Lackluster in some things but it being an “ocean wide” still helps. I’m still having a ton of fun with this game, and I find myself spending most of my time in the ship builder anyways.

Is this game still played by anyone? 16x times the lies from Todd Howard!!
