Lots of save files and reloading. With New Game Plus, scene skipping, and fast travel its actually possible to speedrun the story in one sitting. And good job on finishing!

@@renasworldofgaming Yes, it is. Got platinum recently and i had to complete the game thrice still to go through all 99 endings takes a loooooong time.

The dedication... Truly impressive. I've checked Second Evolution ending compilations, and not even those are as complete as this is. Until proven otherwise, kudos to you for being the first to get a complete compendium of SO2 endings.

I'm sure i'm not the first but thanks. Just like other SO games, most of it is done with reloading save files and using items that manipulate affinity. The rest is just speed running the story with different characters.

I'm sorry for some of the audio issues. I changed capture cards while recording these vids and tbh I have no idea how some of the audio ended up the way it did. I'm probably going to have to eventually remake most of it and repost. Edit: I figured it out, my new card was trying to record at 60 fps and the PS4 displays at 30.

Doing the lords work. I got one ending and saw their were 99 more and I said I’m going to head out

I did it with lots of save games before the final boss, books to manipulate affinity, and running through different playthroughs while I was working lol

i ship them too but getting ashton means not getting opera... hard choice! even tho opera is kinda...crazy and ashton is more likeable...except for his voice. maybe one day i will choose a playthrough based on characters to get everyone their best ending

Use a New Game Plus and make two save file right before the final story battle. You can keep manipulating affinity with books, beating GS, and reloading to get endings. Don't save after each battle with GS. NGP and scene skipping makes speedrunning the story really easy when trying to get certain character combinations.

@@takaro0 He's not a creep everyone's romance is just written weird. Claude doesn't stop older women from trying to get with him and vise versa- the issue is in the old game they didn't really write the ages down without thinking.

I'm currently doing this run to get 100% game completion. how many playthroughs did you do to get all the endings? I f-up my 2nd playthrough because I forgot Celine has 2 endings with Ernest, I can still get the 2nd ending, but it's impossible to get the first ending since if you have 28 relationship points with Ernest, you will end up having Clyde ending. but if you have 4 hearts just same as Clyde, the game will give you the 2nd ending with Ernest. :( I just want to get rid of Celine for my 3rd playthrough, but oh well

It didn't take many actual playthroughs, just lots of save files. Use books to manipulate affinity right before the Gabriel battle, then reload the last save right before him. Some endings require 5 hearts of affinity. Clyde and Celine have 4 hearts, anything above that with her takes priority. During a "cleanup" playthroughs just don't do Clyde's PA's. Max out affinity with her and Ernest, beat Gabriel, reload, use a lv 28 book, and beat Gabriel again to get both endings. Don''t worry about missing ones that require 5 hearts. You can get them on other playthroughs at the same time as other ones. Getting rid of Celine actually makes room for all 3 of Welch, Noel, and Chisato if you don't get Ernest.

Pickpocketed everyone and used contraband for the full game, after looking at this video I'm wondering if I even played the same game lmao. I didn't see half those characters somehow ?

Just finished the PSP version and I got the pregnant ending, etc etc and I thought that it's such a neat ending. UNTIL I SEE OPERA BEING BUDDY2 WITH BOWMAN and not Ernest. I was like, waiiiit a minute, are there multiple endings here? Searched for this on YT and wow. SO MANY ENDINGS 😮 I guess Opera being buddy2 with Bowman because they fought the last boss together.

From what I can tell Opera seems to be more interested in other characters during paired endings than she is with Ernest. I guess this is kinda hinted at when she uses the line, "Like usual, Ernest couldn't finish it off." lol

I wish there was a theatre mode to replay the cutscenes. I guess I'll have to wait until someone compiles a video with all endings in Japanese (with chapters). Kind of silly. Anyways, congratulations for your achievement. I gave up at 33.

@@4Clubs If I added chapters YT's new algorithm for ads would have put an ad at the start of every one. They just put a new ad system in place and it makes it impossible to put ads where you want. I always tried to put mine at the start and end, with no interruptions inbetween.

There's an ending with all character combinations. TBH I have no idea about the PS1 version. The easiest way to get endings on the PS1 is cheating and using the debug room, and even that takes lots of effort and planning.

@@renasworldofgaming i remember seeing the the ps1 that chisato is with dias offering a prayer to his family and chisato promises to look after him in a way they are going out. in the remake I saw that she just trying to get a scoop on dias life. course that could mean that there a friendship route or romance route in the game or not all endings were found

I finished the game with max hearts with rena and dias. Came here to confirm whether the ending I got was the good/romantic one or the bad/friendship one. And apparently having max hearts for rena x dias at the final battle with small floating hearts at their photo just got me the friendship "Dias in Arlia playing with kids" ending. What could I have done differently to get the praying at the cemetery one, I wonder? 🤔 Do you have any advice? 😅

Use "good" books on Rena and Dias, and regular books on everyone else right before the final battle to get the correct affinity.

In the PS1 version there were 86 possible endings. The later Star Ocean games assume Claude and Rena had descendants.

I got the pregnant Rena ending lol 😂 is it the canon ending?

Ughhhh... that would've been good to know. I didn't realize the pregnant ending was only on Claude's side. I always pick Rena. Just can't bring myself to pick Claude when Rena is far superior (to me). This explains why I couldn't force that ending.

The only true ending, Claude and Rena are husband and wife now after the end of Second Story.

One question dude, if possible take Opera without take Ernest in the party? Im new in the game and i wanna Opera but no Ernest 😅

going from memory here, but i think yes you can get opera and no ernest, if you don't do the mini quest to find him he won't show up and the story just continues without him. if you do the subquest he will show up at a certain point in the story and if you choose no to stop him joining they both leave

@@renasworldofgaming but he shows up automatically at the ruins so how do you avoid that? Also Ernest is the 3rd strongest character in the game why wouldn't you want him? Not even as a reserve for talking scenes?

@@violetshadowstone5250 If you don't have Opera when he shows up during the story he won't join. In the PS1 and PSP versions the characters are much more unbalanced and lots of what I say is based on that. IMO his only advantage is the longest range for regular attacks. Claude, Bowman, Chisato, Precis, Opera, and Ashton all do dmg faster. Opera is the most important character in any version because she can heal 1/3 of the party's HP with Healing Star (which bypasses casting) and Alpha One, which follows the target.

A shame you played the game in English as the Japanese voices are superior, but anyways, great job getting all the endings bro
