Star Ocean 2: Final Boss - Indalecio (Unlimited)

Out of all three super bosses, Indalecio Unlimited was the HARDEST. He was barely manageable at level 230 so I really put in some time to push those level ups as far as possible.
Talk to Filia in Clik before it is destroyed, after that, return to Central City at the very end of the game after accessing the final save point and initiate a PA. Go to City Hall and after the scene, you can return to Fienal and fight the hardest boss in the game.
At the beginning, cross your fingers that you get Anti/Protection/Angel Feathers casted first on yourself. He tends to use his best spells right away in succession. So many times where the battle began and without even getting to him, he casted three spells and then it was the end for me.
Gabrie and Iselia Queen have nothing on Indalecio's speed. I had to get him trapped into a combo but not even that can hold him down for long. What's more is that he's the only enemy in the game to cast spells while moving.. and he moves FAST. If he's flying around and you know he's preparing magic, your chances of interrupting it are zero to none. Divine Wave is pretty worse than before, and.... yeah he's just a disaster. So relieved when he died haha. Left in a little soothing piece at the end.

Earthquake pretty much destroyed my team everytime. I had to fight him hoping he just never casted it once and I'd beat him, but once the golem comes out of the ground with it's fist raised, I knew I was a dead man, and dead men tend not to run too far.
One of the best RPGs ever made, it’s no wonder square Merged with Enix 💯

That merge was because Spirits Within bankrupted Squaresoft
lol :P they explained that they did that on purpose when asked about why Indalecio was like that. They wanted to make the hardest final boss in an RPG, and to date, it's one of the top ten hardest I've had to face. If you'd like, I have a few more games you might like.
One of the rare bosses that if you don't literally out cheese him in hard more he will out cheese you lol

It is possible to beat him deathless no damage on universe mode.

Yes just NOT WITHOUT bloody armor users on Earth mode at lv 255 I didn't even last for 10 seconds WITHOUT a bloody armor users and on Universe mode I won't even last for 5 seconds without a bloody armor users at lv 255 EITHER.

too bad they didnt keep the original english voice. Indalecio voice is great. The voice actor also did Dias. Didnt like the new one

41 hrs? Slaughtered my record. I defeated Sephiroth through a new strategy which I like to call "The Hasty Omnislash." Of course, I picked up two of the three recommended weapons w/ morph on 2x cut. Around 30 elixirs were left over so all of the magic pots gave me substantial exp. Thank you for your input, RoxasNova.
A real monster at Lvl 255. :')
His limited form was a little hard, but unlimited was too much.

also you get a different message besides the truth has yet to been disclosed, you have to do an insane combo of private actions with the right characters just look it up trust me its worth the play through again

Are you taking about where they do a bunch of research at the library in the winter town that explains how their evolution was cancelled and some shadowy figure that looks like Leon appears in the counsel chamber? Its been decades since i played this and i know I'm using broad terms, but the extra stuff i found on this game was generally unseen by the forums at the time, so I'm hoping that, eight years later, you'll help me put my theories to rest.
as a star ocean master i can critique this fight pretty bad ... like explosion over poison pills? SECRET MEDICINE?!?! LOL LOL but either way you won so its not like you did it wrong. Now play again on universe difficulty and beat him limiter off ... =]

I think what bothers me most is that you very clearly used a walkthrough to play this game. 41 hours on a first playthrough and you achieved max stats? As if. I watched the playthrough from beginning to end.

***** Yeah, and? I've done that before, if you know what you're doing, it's pretty easy, you just get all of the skills realistically and equip your characters appropriately. I don't know why you resorted to flaming, but I play this game in a more hardcore setting than most people do (like taking on Universe mode with only Dias, Rena, and Claude). This game isn't difficult to do that, you simply need knowledge of the mechanics. Knowledge you can get from either playing the game (like I did) or by reading a walkthrough (like he did). Not only all of that, but he has a full series on this game where he fights these battles one at a time. I think, sir/madam, that you are the retarded one. Not only is it possible to do all of this in 41 hours, it's probable to do it within 30 if you're not a first timer and you can speed run this game in 21 hours if you get lucky enough.

Jalushun I've made a TAS of this game in 4:12.54. there is no way he reached max xp in 41 hours. he would have had to have had frame perfect actions for 41 hours mostly grinding.

***** That's a tool assisted run of the game, which is totally different. Alright, what's the best way that you know how to level up then?
I had to still use 4x bloody armor users see Anti Magic Rena is 100% useless Earthquake will still do 9999 to all 100% of the time with the limiter off even if Rena manages to cast Anti before the spell goes off. For the times where he doesn't open with Earthquake I had Divine Comedy also do 9999 to anybody it hits and never had guts kick in at all even once with the stat at 255% hence the need for 4x Bloody armor users. I also never had Celine/Noel/Leon ever join the party at all either.
