Seems like the code isn‘t valid for UK/EU customers

I had fun doing Xeno despite the crappy performance issues. Brought out a hammerhead and got a bunch of random people to join up instantly, something that I feel like this whole set of new xeno missions really promoted. I will say that outside of the event zone, this years Xeno hasn't been too terrible for the rest of my server activities. Which I think is a small success lol.

I snuck aboard someones hammerhead at Pyro gateway while they were afk standing at the docking port. Wasnt planning on doing anything too nefarious but thought it would be fun to sneak around and not get caught. Maybe hide a box of diluthermex somewhere in the mess upstairs. They found me almost right away, but instead of shooting me they asked me to join the crew so I ended up in a turret helping them fight off Xeno.

Everything is on pause for me until we get the Freight Elevators and Persistent Hangars. And with Xeno and Alien Week, does it feel like they are purposely holding out on us? Maybe to get in as much last minute polishing as possible? All together, its not a good sign imo.

At this point I’m just anxiously awaiting the Road to 1.0 Progress Tracker. Jared has always said to refer to that for questions about what is & is not in active development, and we’ve been in the dark about all that for some time now. Hopefully soon, we’ll know exactly where everything stands after the reshuffle of teams and exactly which features Chris deems necessary to get at least some semblance of his dream space MMO across the line - and which stuff we’ll just have to accept is not coming for several more years if ever.

Yeah I flew out to the mission on the PTU, saw performance was so bad and just quit and haven't even tried it on live. It's just way below my standards and I'm tired of putting up with it for mediocre half-finished gameplay with a boring and juvenile narrative experience. Did for years with the original XT, siege of orison, ect, not really seeing improvements that I'd hope to.

@@JJS563 I'm just saying, if your PC's a "monster", you should be getting better than 5fps. May want to check it out and make sure everything's working. 20fps isn't fun to play, but it's doable.

I really had about 8 great XT runs, both cargo and ship combat... once sat in a turret. As the weekend went on XT seemed to work a bit worse at times and by then I was doing other stuff. I'm interested in what the performance bottlenecks are as they seem to vary for people.

We use the side airlocks to enter via EVA and shoot the doors open with ballistics or use bikes to enter the hangar. We stole 4 of them over the course of the day Sunday and had 3 at once between a party of 10-12 by the time we called it a night. Noiceguy streamed it on Twitch.

my org had a lot of fun with XT we were capturing idris and holding on to them for long periods of time, i think we held one for around 7 hours before it got impounded accidentally at a landing zone we were also looting all the XT fps armors. the main boarding path we used was the side airlocks on the mid deck as the hangar entrances had that gravity issue so those could only be entered with a ship. on the cargo duping thing i was one of the ones who accidentally did it but did not get suspended i definitely agree the ones who did get suspended were people blatantly doing it repeatedly.

Beware of powdered instant drinks, swap for fresh ground beans or loose tea. I worked screens for decades, powdered instant drinks, like instant tea or instant coffee cause terrible migraine and eye pain when using screens all day. Quadruple tested it over 8 year period. Never had eye ache or migraines again.

My Xeno experience was showing up in my Hull-A after being recruited for the Cargo portion of the mission. I didn't really know what to do and told them someone would need to load the cargo on my Hull-A but that never happened. Instead I sat next to two wrecks only to become missile bait and have to flee. Thankfully my Hull-A is upgraded and the two 1A Military shields on my Hull-A are no joke so I could soak it long enough to get out of there!

@@alexpetrov8871 Yeah, I love my Hull-A. I somehow escaped a Cutlass the other day, lost it in QT and then dropped back down planet side to sell my cargo ASAP and boost out of there. They saw me landed but only just got down to me as I was lifting off. My shields took a beating... keyword being "shields" as my hull was unphased. And I mean they unloaded on me while I waited for my engines to come up. Of course I don't put any power into weapons so I keep a boost to my shields and engines as needed. You know I am not a dumb space trucker. I am an "interstellar logistics operator".

My org managed to capture 2 idris over the course of an evening and used our new fleet to lock down the area.

I had my first experience in Xenothreat the other day. Killed the Idris. Had great performance overall. Seeing that quantum drive explode was worth it all to me.

Well, there was _some_ performance improvement with xenothreat in Live: Even though server tick rate was down to 5 or 6, transacting in stations was generally OK (I hear that miners were affected badly, though). Glad some ppl had fun with XT, but I keep hearing of delays in getting 3.23.2 with the Cargo stuff into EVO and that's no good at all. I'll actually have a skerrick of confidence we'll get Persistent Hangars when I hear it is in EVO. Alien Week: Like you Mike, some nice paint jobs, but otherwise, "Meh". For CCU game folks, XT brought in a couple of useful CCU chits, but that's nothing to do with Alien Week

How is the cargo on the Liberator "relatively exposed"🤔What do they mean by this?

This will be interesting.

Alien week would be better if they spoke about the Gatac Railen. It'd make more sense considering the upcoming cargo updates.

Hmmmm. . . wake me up next year when we get hangers and cargo.

Picked up a few EBay Auec back in 3.18.3 and maybe even 3.19. Lost most the ships I picked up in following patches. Grinding beryl runs was a way to wash the money until salvage cargo was a hit in 3.20 which made it was easier to launder. Looking back, it helped me get a decent start into hauling but with the C2 dupe I was only getting to keep 1 C2 per patch even after I earned my Auec (take the 890 for goodness sake). It was only until late 3.22 or even 3.23 where devs actually gave me back the C2s I continually had to grind for every patch so yeah, I’ll be a good boy from here on out…

I'm buying around 100miil aUEC after every wipe and sometimes between wipes for last 2 years. Never had any problems with acc. Checked my acc today - all bought ingame ships are fine so as my wallet. I see no reason to worry at all.

Let's see.... I lost half of my ships. Took a few tries to get the xeno threat done. Logging is kind of working. I logged in and found myself incapacitated. Bugs have cost me at least 4 or 5 armor sets. So... This is just another typical Star Citizen half assed patch. Things kind of work and kind of don't.

Wow, still no cargo? It's been a while since the delay. I'll be checking this out again when this arrives.

lag so bad during Zenothreat events I cant even mine. Mining laser control just lost!

had zero issues with XT (except one) and have successfully done it 4 times, helping friends get their armor. the only issue I have experienced is asshat players who shoot at anything red and those that are truly griefers and are out there to ruin others' experience. on the performance and mission side no issues whatsoever

XT has been fun, performance has been variable. Sometimes it’s been fine, but more often than not, not. However, it has been good enough to complete it several times.

Salty Mike ----> I am tired of them selling concept ships they haven't even made yet, and then continuing with new concept ships without delivering the ones they have already sold. It can't be legally permissible to sell something and not deliver it within a year. I believe they should be held accountable for this and should deliver what they sell within a specific time frame. No one seems to question this, and it just doesn't make sense that players put up with it.

i managed to get inside the ship landing while the f7a ship while moving not an easy thing to do managed to gun down 7 enemys in the hanger then got up the stairs short more guys and got to the bridge looks like a couple more got in there then it became a fire fight against players witch was kinda lame good news i won those fights bad news i didnt want to shoot anyones player wise but it turnd into a me or them situation . then i stole the idris threw out the bodies so they couldnt track and boom xeno was wild

Yes the performance is still bad but I still tried to do the Xenothreat mission. My biggest problem with it is getting back into the fight after dying. I kept getting sent into long queues because the medbeds were all full, getting forced to respawn at my home location. My ship kept getting lost as soon as I would call it up at the ASOP terminal so I had to claim it again after waiting 17 minutes. That is my biggest gripe with the game. I waste so much fucking time dicking around just to get to where I need to be and I am sick of it.

Exploiting in such a way, is never the right thing to do even if it’s an alpha. Our job as the alpha players is to find such issues and report it. Not exploiting it for beyond personal gain at the expense of everyone else.

I want a real cutty plushy

For me Xenothreat works great during the day. But the evenings when everyone's on, it tanks the experience.

XT has been a bit pants so far. As far as I can tell I've finished it twice but no armour. Cant say it was fun, the UI is a hopeless mess and its close on impossible to tell freind from fow. Plus there was no freight fleet in the specified locale one time. It all feels a bit 3.18 at the moment.

XT, despite the "meh" performance, I've been having fun. Just don't wear armour you don't want to lose.

I thought xeno threat was awesome , me and my crew arrived in reclaimer and salvaged everything we could find while fighting off bandits it was glorious good fun (until the idris targeted us lol) server was fine no issues. And that environment was super awesome and moody

They should not ban players but put them in a High security prison (no escape route) for 2+ months. If they want they can work the time off. So play the game to get out early.

Xeno Threat is ruining the experience. Opening inventory is like a powerpoint slide but waiting for the next slide to load in. That is just awful! lol

I don't have confidence in CIG being able to get cargo and persistent hangers into live before IAE. It's is their consistent history of not meeting community expectations on additions in performance or introduced mechanics. Tried Xeno, no value in time spent on it. To many issues to list here.

Alien ships are cool looking and fun to fly but they suck at pretty much every thing. I think the Talon is good but that is about it. They feel weak easy to hit due their shape and parts blow off fast with nothing really going on with them. They don't get much love unlike other ships that cost the same or less and do a better job.

Do you know that Glave and Scythe are still have "ramming blade" component on them? You can see it in Erkul calc. This blade doesn't work properly right now, but it supposed to make vanduul ships a ramming menace. This is why they have these names of cutting tools. They are just not fully functional now. Also you can see that since 3.23 all ships in one size and in once class have pretty much unified characteristics. So as all the components. The game is just in some kind of intermediate state right now.. There is no reason to make final jugements about ships.

Slowly going from SC fan to CIG can GF'd. More ship sales yet bugs are never looked at. In particular, large aspect ratios are UNPLAYABLE due to inventory being borked and items are huge. Nav markers are huge and overlap. Add in all the extra crap labels that don't need to be there and oh yeah, they are huge... This has been an issue for literal years! Devs just close posts about it and ignore the issue council. Loosing faith real fast.

Tried Xenothreat 3 times, 1st time performed great but on the last stage people hijacked the idris before the mission started and bugged it, 2nd try performance was rough, 3rd time was great, smooth experience start to finish AI wer responsive and fun to play against and missions all completed fine. All in all, really enjoyed it.

Xeno is a joke lol. This "game" is a joke, how they had this game open for public the last 6-8 years are insane. Yeah the project is gg, but It still needs 6-8 years before its an actual fucking game. Thats the time frame with these kinda huge huge projects.

I am so bemused by someone would sit there and play something that clearly doesn't have much to offer other than bugs and performance issues galore after 10 years of development. I really cannot wait for something that is released that is not hampered majorly with performance issues and glitches. even on my 4090

When the game works there's nothing else like it, that's why people play it. Most of the time it does work, but dramatised clips that spread fast makes the game look worse than it is

30 seconds of ads before the video starts. Then 2 minutes of sponsor ads at the beginning of the video….. what is this world coming to?

same shit different week, i come back about every month and check in and its always the same thing, games broken, servers are unstable, ship sales are being advertised and nothing is being added thats been promised for years! Ill be back in a month!!!

I wouldn't ban players for exploiting once or twice with something like that duping exploit, but someone that's doing it over and over, knows exactly what they're doing, and supporting such behaviour, also supports credit farmers, and I see that as the biggest problem.

I've checked aUEC prices on the Internet after that ban. Prices didn't even flinched. I don't know what was the reason to ban 600 acc but it wasn't aUEC trading for sure.

@@alexpetrov8871 I doubt it was 600 credit farmers. Either way, it will only hamper them, not stop it, as there's likely other exploits, but it's pretty easy to make creds in the game as it is.

The argument that it's an alpha and therefore it's ok to exploit is dumb. Obviously there's nothing wrong with finding (and reporting) an exploit. And sure, maybe you even need to do it two or three times in order to understand how to reproduce it and then document it. But when you're doing it repeatedly (for benefit) and that exploit is impacting the server and the experience of other players, that's crossing a line, IMO. I'm glad they suspended the biggest offenders for doing it. As a live service PC game, hacking/exploits will *always* be a problem. That's just the nature of the platform. Better to set the precedent now that there will be repercussions for abusing those types of things than to let it go unchecked.

The exploiters that got banned would have been the worse offenders.. one that do it for a job to sell the in game money for real money.. Sadly an account ban wont stop them as they will just buy another account.

fps and the event generally we're disappointing..literally had 5 fps and besides issues like UI, desync, bad npc's, bugs the event itself was meh except the boarding stuff..so tired of the no progress on key things they advertise as if they've progressed..

The exploiter stuff its real simple. Yeah its an alpha, but there is a difference between testing and trying things out.. identifying exploits and reporting them... and the people who were literally doing NOTHING but the exploit... gaining hundreds of millions of credits and clogging the system up so much the people doing things legit couldn't sell things. That is the line.. yeah find the stuff... yeah show them how its done... but then fucking stop. Don't sit there and drive it into the pavement over and over again to the point where its just fucking things up for everyone. That is abuse.. just identifying it and reporting it is not and I think CIG made it clear. Find the stuff.. but leave it at that. If you sit there and abuse it they are going to come down on you. One is helpful, the other is malicious.. stop being malicious. Yeah CIG was slow about it but the go to reasoning shouldnt be to abuse it until they stop you. It should be to find the issue, report it and then don't do that thing. That is fair play and if you did more than that you deserve your temp ban. Stop being a fuckwit.. its all going to get wiped anyways, there is absolutely no reason at all to exploit it that hard.. it takes even more time away from then fixing things if they have to stop to panic address an exploit. Don't be a dick, find it. report it. leave it alone.

Id love to get back to my game loop. CIG pls allow us to ghost ride our ships again. Why does the ship stop so fast when cruise control is on and I leave the seat? This change is so weak and petty in a spacegame of this scale. Catering this hard to noobs this late in the games development really shows how much time and money is being wasted on unintended, unchecked, and overall lazy development.

I love how sc markets their adds,, all these videos of cool flight combat.fps and stuff. then you get in the game and its , NPC's and players running in place, desync central, crap performace, looks like a disaster in the making... Dont get me wrong I got nice screenshots, but stillframe is all that its good for atm. Lets not talk about the boring missions... lack of substance in their gameloops and all there is to do is make money.. then what? they have all this lore and use 0% of it for in game. Nice one.

Is Cargo Next? No. I called it months ago and I'm going to call it again. They will delay, delay, delay until they finally scrap the personal hangars from the game

I just got off from playing on a server that was averaging 4 FPS, after flying from A18 to Pyro Gateway and seeing over 60 abandoned ships between those, Baijini, a Lyria outpost, and some OM points. Hundreds of abandoned ships in most copies of Stanton is normal, the servers being single-digit trash is normal, and these two issues will continue to be mainstays of the Star Citizen experience for now but maybe if you cope harder you can blame it away on some exploiters.

According to r_displayinfo there are like 150000-200000 entities in the game every moment. Lets assume half of server players are dupers. It means 30 C2 ships, along with all their parts and components it is like 3000 entities. Even if all those 30 players spawn their ships 3 times (before they despawn) it will be 10000 entities. Cmon.

It's about time CIG got tough on these people Exploiting is exploiting, Alpha or not. OF course finding exploits in an alpha is important but its no excuse for abusing it. If you find an exploit, report the exploit and move along muchachos. If you're going to abuse it then i will applaud CIG when they ban you. Im tired of having my wallet wiped because of people abusing UEC/Duping exploits.

It all ship sales and nothing about game content. It is annoying. Ironclad is also too expensive for a concept ship and its loaner does not even meet the value. There is one thing i agree though, the suspensions. It was not just exploiting in an alpha, it was hindering other players by breaking servers with their dozens of abandoned ships and filling the stocks to the brim and preventing people from salvage game loop and insulting others while doing so. Other than that, i couldnt care less about how much auec someone has or how many ships they have and i am sure that most of the people who is happy with the suspensions think that way. Any way, the exploiters are now spamming the general chat with malicious websites that sell auec for real money. 😅

"It's just alpha I'm not exploiting- I'm testing!" --- no. Taking a known exploit and reproducing it dozens of times, tanking servers with your mess, makes you a cheater. Even worse, you are cheating in an alpha test for a game with consistent wipes and no competitive stats or record keeping... like how desperate are you?

Its about time CIG got tough on these people imo. Exploiting is exploiting, Alpha or not. Find the exploit, report the exploit, then move along buddy. If you're going to abuse it i will applaud CIG when you get banned. It's really that simple.
