I'm considering subscribing primarily for the flair.

I subscribed mainly for early stage PTU access. Glad it comes with flair. Guess I could sell the ones I don’t like.

A cool little unknown is that for the $20 subscription you also get a rather rare ship a (Vanduul Scythe) you don't get to keep it and it's also bugged to get to it. In the bottom of your ship return at the hanger just scroll down to the bottom then scroll up a little bit then back down you should be able to see it and fly it but it's only for the $20 per month subscription and you'll not have access to it if you're not.

Some things to note about some of the flair: The only way to get the sawtooth knife currently is sub. Unlike the normal quickflares the sub quickflarepro never burn out. The planet artifact is from Ellis when a moon crashed into the planet. The holotables are also on display at New Babbage at the Ap- I mean MicroTech store in the lower level. Possible extra usefulness in the future? The space globes used to light up and animate when interacted with.

@@elruchal Afraid so, though in future this may change, the devs have been talking about adding kiosks where players can reclaim sub and other items bought with irl money, like CitCon goodie packages and stuff from the old Voyager Direct store.

i bought a 1 Month Acess Subscribtion (Centurion) 5 Days ago but i dont get the Armor...

Hopefully a helpful comment, can you zoom in a bit when doing these type of videos to reduce wasted space on the sides, I think that would look better.

I'll see what I can do on the next one like this. With more time I could make these type videos much more dynamic. Unfortunately balancing work, wife, and life schedules don't always permit me to shoot for quality over quantity.

Quick Question... When it comes to "melting"... can flair purchases later be melted to go toward ship upgrades?... like, can I purchase $15 worth of helmets, knives, etc., ... then later melt that and use the $15 in my chain up from a Taurus to a Crucible?

Yes. You get the cash value of what you melt to use toward something else.

I just bought the Aztelan set and the Paladin helmet but I can’t find them anywhere in my inventory. They do show up in my hangar though. But I’m scared I may have just lost money. Anyone know what to do?

It's a database issue most likely..don't fear..if they are in your hangar, you will have them

so if i buy say an armor set do i only get on of that set or can i rebuy if i lose it at a store but only i would have access to that armor because i’m a subscriber?

Anything bought with real world money will have some way to retrieve again via insurance most likely. Right now weapons and armor require a player reset to get back

I'm still a bit confused about "Subscriber" flair. I thought Subscribers ($10, $20, etc... a month) got the flair for free but what are the prices for a non-subscriber to purchase or discount price for a subscriber? ;-)

Typically you can buy all subscriber flair, for a few dollars each. You can see them for sale in the pledge store under Extras. Subscribers are given flair according to the level they subscribe. Things like the Jump Point Magazine, the Vault, and Wallpapers access are reserved to just Subscribers. Those are there regardless of the level you subscribe. Only the flair, first wave PTU access, ship of the month, test flights, REC stipend for renting ships for the Arena Commander use, Subscriber Den in the Spectrum, Merchandise discounts, and things like special functions at RSI facilities (currently suspended due to the pandemic) are available for subscribers alone. The Flair is the only thing anyone can get if they are willing to spend a little extra on a one time basis for each item. Subscriptions happen monthly. I might want to add, that anything you spend with being a subscriber adds up toward the Concierge levels as well. Concierge is anyone that spends at least $1000 towards the game pledges or for in game ships. There are several different levels and they open up special ship packages that only they can see. In some planetary space ports, like Area 18, there are special locations that only concierge members can go into.

Once you buy these things, where do you equip them in game??

Why there is no effect from drinking in game is a question I would like to ask CIG. Hopefully it's just not added in yet but I worry it's due to them thinking kids parents having a fit and they're never going to add it as a feature for that reason.

It's coming. They've not made it a priority. Just getting the tools to make ships and star systems have been their priority. That is a small thing that will eventually be in the game, but there is no telling when.

I think I would just buy another ship. Since players sometimes take a year off. It's actually surprising to loot subscriber stuff from missions.

NGL, I was curious to see how much you had in store credits when you clicked my account 😆, and what are the stuff you get with this months subscriber ship ccu?

There are no real store credits. If you are wondering about AUEC which are the credits usable in the game for weapons, fuel, ships, armor etc, the starting package gives you 1000 AUEC unless you sign up using a referral code. A referral gives you and additional 2000 AUEC when you purchase your starting package. A subscription doesn't add any AUEC to the in game system. The only credits you get are REC which is used only in the Arena Commander to rent and test fly ships you don't currently have in game. Any ships you have pledged for are automatically available for use in Arena Commander and you don't use REC for them. AUEC can be earned in game by doing missions, running cargo, mining and other things available in game, but the credits are only usable inside the game, and not in the Store where you can buy merchandise like real life hats, shirts and other things. You can buy ships in game with AUEC at ship sales stores. They are only at Grim Hex, and at Hurston as far as I know.

@@ronkrueger-capt_koron6112 yea, I was taking about store credits, seems like he made everything $ count... I usually keep around 20 bucks in rotation, so I can check out paints and RSI store exclusive armour sets and stuff, use them for a while and melt them....

@@robertschumacher2707 no, I haven't I'm keeping a m2 and a c2 ccu for the time being as they will go up in price after they release on fleet week. And yea the backpacks supposed be detachable in the future, if you go look up the tumbriel ranger concept sale, they did a jacket that had a backpack for the ranger CV version. So I'm sure you will be able to wear most back packs even with out a undersuit.

do you have to own a gamepacage in order to sub?

If you buy armor or weapon with cash, do you lose it when/if char dies?

The short easy answer is yes. The longer more complicated answer is no. Cig realized people weren't cool losing things they paid for without some way of getting it back. We have insurance for ships to deal with those, eventually there will be a similar mechanic for your weapons and armor. Right now though, you would have to recover your stuff by looting your old body or by doing a character reset.

Tessa Banister was the person at the Probe. Eventually Port Olisar will be replaced with a more modern station. It is an old Legacy build and doesn't currently conform with the new standards in the game. I have most of the Subscriber Flair as I've been contributing for quite a while.

I find that odd. For large ships specifically, I love PO. I can easily land my Carrack and Reclaimer there without the concern of shearing off my weapons or having doors close on me. Save the lack of a refinery station, if you add some platform shields I think it beats out the newer stations in every way.. A beautiful view of shops taking off and landing, easy access stores and minimum overhang/low vis structures that you can easily crash into. If I were new and you asked me which stations were newer, I'd definitely say P.O.

@@durtyred86 Most of those large ships were specifically designed with the ability to use pad 00 on all 4 struts of Olisar, simply because it was, for the longest time, the only station that you could spawn at. I've been playing the game since 2006 when it was the only place to join the game. Later Grim Hex was added for anyone with a crime stat and anyone else couldn't even navigate to it without one. Outside of Grim, there was no armistice zone and if you could find the station, you could camp out there and destroy any ship of a criminal. That changed and the next station they added was asteroid station of Delamar. It's only been recently that was removed since it was only put in for testing purposes. It will eventually find it's way to the Nix system where it is supposed to be. At one time, when they were building the Carrack, the design was too big for that landing pad. They took a second look at it and changed it so it would fit. I know the Reclaimer is bigger, but it's not that much longer. It's taller and wider. The Probe station has been looked at for eventual inclusion into the game with Tessa Banister, because Tessa was a well liked feature. She gave us our first real missions. I believe she gave us 8 different missions within the Crusader area. Once they put some of the other mission givers, they removed her and that Probe station. She was also one of the Legacy locations that will eventually be replaced with newer redesigned locations. I have friends that joined the game when the only place you could go was your hanger. There was absolutely no flying within the game. Times have changed. In fact when I first joined, you couldn't even land on any of the Crusader moons. To do so was instant destruction of your ship with you in it.

@@afradwright I haven't been in patch 3.13.1 so I don't know for sure about repair and refueling, , but prior to that you could refuel and repair at Port Olisar. I don't know if it's been changed. I do know you can in Grim Hex, at all of the stations at lagrange points, at the planetary orbital stations, and large planetary space ports. At one point early in game development, they had a special refueling and repair station between Olisar and and Cellin, but it became a point that was subject to a lot of attacks and griefing. They eventually removed it when Hurston was put in the game. There was also a lot of conflict at the drug lab on Yela called Jump Town. You can find out about that by searching the Galactapedia and Lore for Jump Town Wars. I hate to admit, I did a little participation in them. The drugs purchased there were very lucrative cargo and if you had the money to buy the drugs there, you could make a lot more in the sale. I also worked with people that essentially stopped a lot more of the players from doing just that. We kind of worked both sides of the street in the matter.

@@TexasSpaceNavy ah gotcha, I hope they can do something to bring it back. It was a cool function. I really would like the Hangers to be added into the PU, and I would LOVE for them to make the hangers like they used to be (can spawn all of the ships for a wide hanger bay).

Conventionally. But this isn't conventional. This is Science Fiction. It can be whatever it wants to be. And many times reality will adopt scifi ideas and make them an actuality. Who knows what the future holds. Here's a better question. If the navy operates crafts in space do they caese being the navy? Nope...still the navy...in space.
