At the start of PTU we took a look at a combat mission in a Distribution Center and given the fact it was very early into PTU it was understandably performing pretty poorly. well we are now at the end of PTU and things have gotten considerably better

Wow that was intense! This is what PvE FPS combat should look like!
It’s good to see something in this patch working well. It’s very encouraging.
The new FPS combat looks great, the only thing we need now is more server events where we got to work together as teams on the ground.
Distribution centres are fun and multiple ways to get in, also the ship AI, don't take on a Cutlass black AI with a none combat ship or you'll get wrecked.
For situations like 01:50 - you can now cancel your reload by sprinting and I think also by switching weapons

This is the best FPS I've seen so far coming from SC and 3.23, I really hope this translates to live! Keep it up Katie!
I really hope they make enemy bullets actually hit objects and spark, and more importantly fix the sounds of enemy weapons being so quiet and especially bullets sounding like tiny birds flying past hahaha there needs to be a sense of intense urgency and danger.

I wish they would do something about the terrible death animations in which the AI are invulnerable. They should just ragdoll if you continue to shoot them in that state

Fantastic! I was really impressed on the one mission I went on, it’s a much more intense and interesting experience than the small underground facility bunkers.

wow! when you encountered that one guy down the hallway I was thinking "Kate needs a grenade to lob" and 1 sec later he hurls one at you!! Looks like we might need that FPS scanning sooner than I thought. Nice action - Orphanbird NOTE to self - buy more medpen stock.
@2:21 if that grenade had gone off that would have been the end of Kate! Awesome fight. The AI is getting better. Also, when your gun won't fire switch to the multi-tool, fire the tractor beam then switch back to your gun.

The FPS got so much better. love it.
In the way the fight was portrayed in this video it almost looked like what I'd expect a raid to be on these distribution centers. It looks amazing when the AI work at least somewhat and I can't wait to see something like raids in the game eventually.

eheh wen you do a a elusive bounty here, the main guy spawns with 4-6 other light armour guys with sniper rifles. while he use's a LMG of some kind, and if they get close enough to you they throw grenades, i tend to drive in with a Spartan ground vehicle, for cover
with 30+ server fps, this will be fun and challenging.

They reworked NPC’s to perform better on lower server FPS - I was on a 9-10 FPS server and got dropped by these guys.
i know 3.23 is ready for live it needs to move to the main stress testing times before fleet week so hotfixes can be deployed
I don't know what it is, but you got it. I'd follow you to other games.
I would like it if it was a marker for a general area and not 4 possible locations, something like what we talked about with wildlife locating. Other than that, the mission looks great!

I am very shocked I would almost say this is fake footage but its not lol the AI its actually getting there finally ! Now if they dont stand on stuff outside of combat then this is awesome lol If they keep improving the difficulty of the PVE AI this will be noice

Is there a way to turn off the dynamic crosshair?

yeah you can just equip a helmet that doesnt have them - only combat helmets show the crosshair and hit markers :)
mission is to locate a missing person... and now there will be about 60 missions for missing persons :D the amount of families that wont know what happened to all the people died in this mission :D :D
………And then it goes to live.😞 I sometimes feel like it’s almost better to never have experienced the Ai when it works properly. When they work it is intense. But we know how it goes with servers.

Comparing this to an average FPS game. The AI are terrible and the combat looks janky. If it was closed alpha I would say, needs a lot of work.
Seems like fps game to me . Just like a million other titles out there

It’s not supposed to be ‘special’. What makes it unique is that this is not a single level in a cod or battlefield. It’s an mmo and has seamless travel across a vast solar system w/high fidelity assets, fully realized vehicles and interiors, and combined arms possible play. I think you knew that though. There is always at least one….smh.

FPS is only a small part of the gameplay, this is just one place on a planet.
Combat was Terrible now its just awfully bad.
