Definitely the better budget starter. Can do everything the Aurora can except bed log, and it does it all better. It's not a Titan in combat and it definitely doesn't match the Cutter for versatility, but it's a solid little boat.

The right wing on the ship is currently bugged. The right wing falls off immediately after taking any kind of damage, sometimes even before the shields get depleted (likely from ballistic damage). To repair the wing it will always cost you around 5k if you have a gun on it.

if compared with the Aurora, the mustang is just better for a starter. But if you can afford it, go with the cutter. (my summery so far)

I like how the Alpha's insurance time is only 45 seconds or instant if you pay to expedite. Combine that with its flying characteristics it makes a great shuttle type ship.

Should be noted as well that because of its size it *feels* much faster than it is. For instance I find it feels much faster than the titan despite being slower - it's like a motorcycle experience, just zipping about the 'verse

It always surprises me how large these ships are, all things considered. In my mind the starters are always so much smaller than what they are in reality. I'm looking forward to you reviewing one of my favorite ships in game (for better or worse) the 325a.

Definitely the better looking of the two cheapest starters imo. Only complaint I could have is it's not the one with a living quarter cause the CO living quarters look pretty nice.

I checked my main account and have 4 instances of Mustang Starter Packs, but i think i brought for convenience, and its just a ship i never took to, i mostly buy ships as an indulgence, think it would be a cold day in the verse if i brought a mustang for that reason, much prefer the Aurora, still have one and a Skull&Bones paint waiting for the day CIG fix it. Kudos

It's definitely a delicate ship, but I think the alpha is a lot of fun to fly.
