Excellent work ! My standmore have similar problem (periodical noise every 6 seconds), and I'll investigate it in your way.
Mine is conecting to bluetooth or aux but no sound out, can i fix it doing the same process?

the element is a resistor R100 = 0.1ohm, most likely you have something damaged, if it chokes, they work as a fuse

Did anyone have luck fixing a Stanmore 1 that does not power on ? It always blows the fuse as soon as I switch it on
