STANLEY vs THERMOS Honest review - pros and cons!!

amzn.to/3AFOh2A
I bought a large thermos for traveling and felt an urgent need to share my findings about the two. They both had great reviews on Amazon so it was surprising to see how much better one was for my needs compared to the other!
The Stanley is my pick and the reasons are pretty simple. Usability, sturdiness, and quality materials were my reasons for choosing the Stanley.
Here's the link to buy the Stanley: amzn.to/3o0TRCO
The handle is built a lot better. It has a rubber grip on the inside and sits super straight on the bottle. The Thermos handle feels a little cheap and jangles around. The links are not built to be a tight fit but seem rather like they are supposed to be loose and clanky. I felt the handle being built this way made it hard to pour things out of the Thermos bottle.
The Thermos also immediately wobbled when I set it down and the Stanley didn’t. The Stanley also had a brushed metal and brushed materials kind of feel to it whereas the Thermos had a shiny look to if. This made fingerprints show a lot more on the Thermos.
Overall I am super happy with the Stanley and will be returning the Thermos. I just wanted to share this with everyone since we are in a pandemic and my family has been going out a lot more than before. I figured it’s like that for many others, too.
If you guys have any questions then leave them in the comments and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. If you buy through the link, I earn a small commission, thanks!!
Hope this helps and thanks for watching!!

Stanley makes an excellent product but I have been very successful with my thermos's.. I found that heat retention was about the same between my 40 oz Stanley and my 40 oz thermos. The 68 oz Thermos that you reviewed is my FAVORITE, I own two. We call them ICEMAN ( And we attempt our best Tom Cruise imitation when we requested it haha) 😄 Mine don't wobble so thats unusual. They of course do have the same flimsy handle but I chose that over any other brand because of its large mouth. When I camp I use it as my ice bucket and it works fantastic! I fill it with ice cubes then lay it in the bottom of my cooler and I have ice for a week or more, Hardly any melting! I've even had it sitting on a countertop for four days at my daughter's house on a recent visit, (who never has enough ice lol at least not for me 🍸😁 ) I ran out of ice before it melted. There was some melting during that time when it was not refrigerated but it was still very handy. Just hoping these tips can help others.

Got my Thermos from Thermos and it's great. I bought it yesterday. This morning, at 6:15 am, I filled it with boiling hot water to make tea. Now, as I write this at 5:50 pm, so 12 hours later, the tea is still hot. As I work in construction in the cold, wind and rain, this is an amazing purchase.

Hi, I bought Thermos 1.2 liter today. I filled the boiling water and tightened the cap tightly. I couldn't see any problems with leakage etc. I will do a heat test tomorrow morning, but I noticed that the mouth of the product, that is, the part covered by the glass lid, is getting hot, is this normal?

I find my thermos heats up a little slower than my metal Stanley lid cup, however when the point is to let the too-hot liquid cool down quickly in order to drink it, I prefer the metal Stanley lid, as I also do for durability. Then I also bring my own little cup as well for fun.

I just got two of the made in U.S.A Stanleys from a flea market for 10$ each. The vintage ones have a smaller opening and do no keep hot or cold as long, but they will be here hundreds of years from now! The quality on the vintage is night and day better, the weight is probably double.

Remove the stopper and shake it. Does it sound like sand? If so, the insulation inside has broken down, thus it's insulation properties have been compromised. Initiate a warranty claim on their site. All you have to do is describe the problem, send pic of issue, pics of the item, and a pic of the bottom of item. Also while making the claim on the site, they'll ask questions about the item as well, so have it nearby. If they are dented though (as with ANY vacume sealed bottle/tumbler/ect) then the item is compromised thus it won't keep things as hot/cold as it used to.

@@davidstokes9706 Thank you for the reply. I tested it. That design does very well, mine do not make noise when shaken. The design after that with the pour through stopper is not as good at insulating.

I loved my Stanley Master series thermos and used it from Monday to Friday for a whole year, but then the stopper broke, there was no external force involved, it just teared, I assume the vacuum of the slowly cooling beverage was too much. The bottle itself was absolutely perfect, kept my tea or coffee hot for over 24 hours and the cup was really well made. When I contacted the customer service (in Europe) they did not answer, so I sent a second email a few weeks later. They promised they would look at the issue, but I have never heard from them again, even after contacting them again. I would even buy a replacement stopper, but last time I checked, they were not selling. Just my personal experience with Stanley. Love the bottle, but the lifelong guarantee is a joke.

@@davidstokes9706 That is very interesting and good to hear! In my case, after maybe be 9 months I considered buying a new thermos but then contacted Stanley again and brought up my old warranty claim in a last attempt to get a replacement part. This time I mentioned that I plan to report my customer service experience in the Amazon reviews. After that, I received a replacement within a few days. Not sure if the be EU customer service doesn't work as well as in the US or whether I just had bad luck with my request, but I'm back to using my Stanley thermos.

Is your Stanley classic double insulated because I bought one for $21.00 and when I pored the tea in it was not as hot when I first pored the tea inside the bottle. The old classic had glass insulation which kept the tea very nice and hot. The new ones made in China are cheaply made and the temperature diminishes. How does yours's work? Also they shouldn't call it classic if it does not work like the old classic ones.

If you got one that the stopper is not 'solid', meaning if the stopper is in the bottle is there still a 'hole' that goes down into the opening? If that's the case, Stanley realized that stopper design is flawed so they stopped making that stopper. If you have that kind of stopper contact them and they'll send the corrected one for FREE.

Pour out the water then add HOT coffee...heat only lasts 4 hours before its tepid bath water.
