I'm worried Stanley's going to get caught in the baby gate again and strangle himself.

I made my mom watch some of these videos with me, because I told her she had to see this pug puppy, and she said "Wow these are such healthy dogs!" and she was so impressed that you've trained them to eat when you say the command. And I said "well of course, he's a stay at home pug dad!" thought you'd feel so chuffed to hear her comment!

Hey Karl, I know you were doing your best you could, so, I'm just writing this for those reading it at a later date. I studied wildlife, & always have had an interest in animal behaviour. He was just a baby, being isolated for a pack animal is not natural. I realise this was a long time ago, but for those reading it now, putting a puppy in a crate beside the bed eases their distress as they are with you and should reduce or even eliminate them crying. I loved it when Winston and Stanley were wrestling in the hooded bed! And when Stanley was walking around with the balloon in his mouth! i loved the way you featured Pablo and explained his frustration in trying to play with Stanley. Winston seems to get in his way. Glad Pablo is trying to play with Stanley. He had fun with Winston so I'm sure he'll have fun with Stanley. You and the older boys need to get a good run in the fields and get out of the house.

Here's an idea: whenever Stanley's had his morning or afternoon food, wait a few minutes before you leave him outside until he's done all his business. Meanwhile, it's good to see Winston and Stanley make do with what they've got in that bed. X3

I think a puppy is like a BABY, except BABIES wear diapers!!! Sasha my baby pug puppy is doing well (DOB 7.31) but I've had two showers in TWO WEEKS!!!!! I've had to start buying laundry soap FOUR JUGS at a time! My saving grace is that she almost sleeps through the night (in a pup crib), getting up after 6 hours to get a drink of water, and about 4 hours after that, she takes a wee. But she's literally in her bed from 9 to 9! She falls asleep chewing her stuffed lamb and listening to lullabies from a lighted stuffed seahorse lol. HOWEVER, I am afraid that if I open the front door, or god forbid try to take a shower while she's in bed, I think she'll wake up and I don't want her to fall out of this habit! HAPPY BIRTHDAY PUG DADDY! 🎂YOUR VIDEOS have become the highlight of our day. She's crushing on all the boys now, though Winston was an early favorite!!

Salvation, Hi Karl when I first got my Boy Bart he was 8 weeks old... I got a Crate similar to yours... I set it up half comfy Bed and half PP Pad... Can't forget His favorite Toys... Then I Duct Taped a couple of 1'x 4' pieces of Paneling together on one end ... You fold it out and you make a 4'x4' PP Pad Area when put it in a Corner... With his sent there eventually you won't need the Panels... Then you can reduce the Pads... It stores nicely against the Wall when not in use... It worked out good for me... With the Trio you need every edge you can get.... Good Luck... Hug the Boys... Gotta Love Puggies

One more thing... I use to keep his Water and Food in there too... With clean Pads... Especially with those notorious drippy Jaws.. He had problems with the dry Food too... I put it in the Blender and ground it a little... He liked it

When we got our pug we had to put the crate in the middle of our kind size bed with my hand in the cage. It was the only way to keep her from crying. 😂 Like having a newborn baby.

At least Stanley isn't eating his own poop like my puppy has been. I had to take him off Purena and put him on adult dog food, he's nearly 11 months so no biggie really. It smelt so bad then he started to eat it too. There is something in it he just can't break down.

Well, Anna is not completely wrong. You‘re not supposed to yell at the puppy, especially not after it had a pee accident. It just scares them and has no educational value. I guess Karl knows that but is a bit stressed out up to his head in pugs and puppy messes. He is only human, give him a break.

J Cee A mother dog growling is not the same as the human owner yelling. Yelling at a dog has no disciplinary effect on dogs. It just scares them and that‘s a form of abuse.
