I have followed Stanley for years. But I have dropped out of the scene for years. I recently began to search Stanley's videos to recap on fond memories. I still have his LP's. (Vinyls for you young cats) But watching this vid, I say HOLY SHIT !!! When did he come out? But Hey... That's his thing. I'm not a hater. I love his music no matter what. ,,,,,,Boy,,,,,,where the hell have I been?. I missed the whole transformation. Who would have thought.? Love your music Stanley you are the best guitarist I have ever heard. I have Many guitarist as my idols. But your are my number one favorite. PEACE !!!!

Great upload.... what a band -- everyone playing their tails off - what an intense groove! It's odd, I can't for the life of me understand why some people seem so taken with the way someone chooses to dress; I mean what's the issue? It's a bunch of brilliant guys playing music, for God's sake. For decades I've wondered about people who spoke of going to "watch" a concert; not "listen", but watch. Would they still go if they were blind? There's even one bizarre comment here about Stanley Jordan having mental issues just because he's not dressed how they think he should be ... people who concern themselves with such stuff are so superficial.

I just got back from Port Chester where Mr Jordan dazzled with Phil and Friends. He was brilliant. For a real treat youtube his shows with Phil Valentines Day Weekend at Terrapin Crossroads 2015 Amazing. Plus for those amongst us concerned about his mode of dress...three nights three dazzling ensembles! Check it out.

Stanley Jordan is a stand up man! He wears feminine outfits to make people wonder:-) After a good talk with him, he loves women so much, he wears feminine outfits. In the end who cares. Stanley is a world class musician.

Rudy Bigboote But, along with ‘this change’ he also changed his style of music and technique. Look at his ‘Hendrix’ videos. It’s not necessarily the change in his technique, but the level of his skill doing Hendrix. It falls quite low. In fact it is terrible. At any given night, somewhere, in some club, a local band is doing Jimi and far superior.. So the question begs, is the slide down in his playing connected to his appearance? Are they signs of something in him manifesting itself to the surface? Something not healthy.

Great playing but Stanley has some...issues going on. He's genius on the guitar but succumbing to mental illness, it seems. Those two things - genius and mental illness - seem often to go together. Sad.
