Shiladitya Chatterjee is a Data analyst by profession. When he was in school, he got inspired by Zakir Khan and after pursuing graduation, he realized that he does not like Engineering as much. According to him, in spite of not being a naturally funny person, he became a stand -up comedian when he performed at an open mic show during his semester break days. At that time, the feeling of making so many people laugh at the same time, made him realize his passion for comedy. He was an introverted boy who used to top in class and was not into sports much. Initially he used to do comedy in Hindi, but after Covid happened, he stopped writing jokes. However he then got introduced to Royal Bengal Academy and started doing stand-up comedy in Bengali, reinventing his love for the art again. He says the feeling of making someone laugh with a mic in hand is great. He is an inspiration to many who want to pursue their passion along with their profession and nurture their inherent talent. Today on the platform of Josh Talks, he shared about his wonderful journey so far.

2020 র আগে বাংলা স্ট্যান্ড আপ কমেডি ছিল না?? সেকী??? সঠিক তথ্য না জেনেই ভিডিও করে ফেললেন? আমি নিজে 2008 সালে মীরাক্কেল এ গেছি! 2013 সাল থেকে নিয়মিত Kalkutta Komedian এ বাংলায় স্ট্যান্ড আপ করছি!! অনুরোধ করব সঠিক তথ্য পরিবেশন করতে!!

Yes, Kalkuta Komedians were certainly doing Bengali standup many years before 2020. Well, they say hindsight is always 20/20 - but maybe not in 2020 ;)
