I am 74 and just now decided to learn a keyboard. I have looked at endless videos on KZread and finally I have found you. Perfect for what I am looking for, I can slow the speed down when I can’t keep up, but already started to feel I am moving forward with my playing. The only down side, I can’t sing very well 😂😂..

A newbie like me shouldn't question a good channel like this one. But I have to ask. If the melody can be played in the C major scale. Why is this tutorial in the key of A and not C? (More difficult for newbies).

I have been learning this song for a folk jamming circle I attend on Saturdays (I play acoustic guitar). Singing I do OK *except* at the start of the chorus, "Oh darling, darling, stand . . . by me,". I don't know if it is because I try to increase my volume and it all goes off the rails but no matter how I try to sing it (louder or regular or softer) those six words come out like hot garbage, and then it recovers right after and I'm fine. Even just one tip for that bit would be much appreciated, I can't be the only one.

It is probably out of your range! Do you have a lower voice? Try transposing the song down to the key of G or F and see if that helps.
