    I cant imagine the world today if Stan Lee never exist. I mean... book stores, toy stores, movies, t-shirts, etc etc... popular culture would be very different without this guy.

    Well, I'm a bit proud to know that. I mean, Magneto was defending the mutants like Blacks. Some people said that was popycock but now they know now... However, that makes PERFECT sense. Malcolm X had a more aggressive approach towards his oppression; before his made his Islamic Pilgrimage to Mecca, that is. Like Magneto; a Jewish man; I think. And I heard that Martin Luther King Jr. promoted nonviolence and fighting for equality in an nonviolent way. Like Prof. X. Pretty cool. He could've been against it but promoted their likeness which is cool!

    @@CoolhandLukeSkywalkr 😆 Well, that may be the case but over tens years ago Stan Lee in an interview had said the concept of Professor X and Magneto was inspired by Malcolm X and Martin Luther King in which it makes sense seeing that they (Professor X as MLK and Magneto as Malcolm X )had the same point of views, mentality wise,strikingly. One was for peace with all humanity and Malcolm X was about any means necessary and separating from everyone…. He also spoke about how the Transformers was based upon U.S taking on the German Nazis in 1942.. Friend I’m not making this up..

  • @CoolhandLukeSkywalkr

    @CoolhandLukeSkywalkr

    @WecanWinJesse In the encyclopedia, it mentions the correct story. You're not even describing the Stan Lee era of Magneto. Magneto started out as a supremacist and just a run-of-the-mill villain. He evolved into the established character in the 1970s. Chris Claremont was a half Jewish British guy, and he is the one who fleshed out those two characters. I don't think Stan Lee ever made that comment about Mlk or Malcolm x. As far as I'm aware, it is modern revisionism, falsely reported by a few comic news outlets etc.

    I'm 62 years old, been a Marvel comic collector since I was 7-8 yrs old, and I'll tell you, I'm like a little kid in anticipating this movie. Wesley was suppose to play him, but unfortunately things didn't work out. I love Stan Lee like a grandfather, simply because he incited a riot in my imagination and inspired me to do the research to confirm some of the comic content. Mostly, there was nothing comical about mythology, science, history, astrology, astronomy, physics AND metaphysics, geography, and geology, to name a few. He had me reading my ass off. No other person inspired me like this man, not a teacher or parent. Their encouragement was somewhat of a requisite, not Mr. Lee's or Mr. Jack Kirby, RIP. I get chills cause I know Mr. Lee was hands on and wasn't settling for less than the best representation of this epic character. No bootlegging folks, please. Nuff Said.

I have a lot of respect for him because I grew up with comics. Hoping He would live a bit longer, at least when Infinity War makes its way to theaters. XD

From Professor X/Magneto being inspired by Martin and Malcolm, to everything you just said about Black Panther, to Blade being black and called the "daywalker" (children of the sun? Wink, wink). So much symbolism in their work, gotta respect it.

    *DAWB86* True that Professor X and Magneto are inspired by Martin Luther King and Malcom X, and the X-Men among other things can be looked at as an analogy to Black people, but Jean Grey is inspired by the Whore of Babylon.
