Stan Ford: A Story of Bravery, Gratitude and Service.

Stan Ford, tells his own inspiring story with a powerful blend of Dignity, Gratitude and Service.
His Bravery, following his injuries sustained when his ship sank is not mentioned in his brief speech about his outstanding Service to his Country.
Just a silent, dignified, resilience and unwavering commitment to Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.
Mr Stan Ford may have been proud to call Queen Elizabeth but if it would be lovely if we could let Mr Ford know that we are very proud of him and all those men and women who did so much in for their country, during times of need and war e.g. the UK really should give this Gentleman an MBE or something befitting his courage and service.
In 2017 he was awarded the Legion d’Honneur - the highest French award possible and whilst he was typically modest in only accepting on behalf of his crew mates, 31 of whom perished on D-Day, 1944, which makes it all the more odd, to me, that his Service has not been recognised by his own country.
Mr Ford has recently carried the Commonwealth Baton and is working tirelessly for the British Normandy Memorial Trust to ensure a history remains relevant to the British .

Thank you Mr. Ford for your service to your country. I come from Germany and today I live in a free and democratic country that was liberated from dictatorship and the bondage of people like you. Many have died so that I can live in freedom today. We must never forget that.
