@@mattmarzula I guarantee as many Gen Z know this song as much as Top Gun. Asking a person my age if they have seen bloodsport is like asking if a bear poops in the woods. This has been on all my workout tracks since i have been 16. I am almost 40 now. My Brother is 34 and this is one of his favorite movies of all time. He could care less about Top Gun. This is the ultimate Alpha Male movie.

True Story. When I was a kid I recorded the song from the VHS copy of Blood Sport took it downstairs in the basement and played it as I practiced Karate. I think I was around a blue belt in TKD at that time. It was this song and the theme music to Berry Gordy's The Last Dragon. Talk about motivation. 🙂

That was literally the Johnny Cage character dummy. The decision was more like a budget conscious one than a missed opportunity. Step one in inventing a character is to not infringe on someone else's gimmick and intellectual property. It keeps their lawyers at bay.

Capcom made a similar decision themselves concerning Boxer in Street Fighter 2. They changed his name from M. Bison to Balrog outside of Japan, because he looks like real life boxer Mike Tyson. The company didn't want the real life boxer on their case because of it, hence the name change for Boxer outside of Japan, when the game hit North American shores.

Just got the 4K Blu-ray from Germany. It’s region free with English sound track. Plays beautifully and the sound has a significant volume and quality upgrade. Visuals are improved too but it still is an old budget movie. Highly recommended.
