Stalley would have been better on Shady, maybe even Good Music. The best situation for him at that time honestly would just to stayed independent. I knew he wasn’t gonna get a record like “Body” over Wale and Meek. Omarion got signed and Ross and was still helping push French Montana. 3 years after signing with MMG, Stalley’s debut album release at #40 with 10k sold first week. Honestly not bad, as the physical and MP3 sales was dead and streams was not counted as sales yet and he did not have the best promotion. In comparison, Omarion’s MMG debut right after Stalley and only sold 16k and debut at #49. I believe Stal could have done those same numbers independently. No way Atlantic was going to sign off on another option for a sophomore release. Shoutout to Stalley, he’s a good dude! Glad to see he ain’t aged a bit ✌🏽
