Especially since you spend so much time filming Googan content. Yer a beast. And oh yeah...you slay the fish!!! and how about Camera man/fish expert u brought. Props to his solid knowledge!! yes more episodes!! Thx!!!

It’d be cool if you linked up with Thresher Fishing while you’re down there!!!!
Go fishing with thrasher fishing on the jetties and catch bull reds.
John it's about time you come my way and do our kinda fishing.. 👍👍👍
About damn time you made it to Texas's coastline. Now you just need to learn to find them properly in ankle deep water... time to buy a shallow sport haha
Sunset shot at 12:34 is money
It's so cool to see somebody that I've grown up watching, fish in a place that I've grown up fishing. Great video, Jon!
Fishing my home waters, welcome to Corpus! Hope you enjoyed your stay.
Couple redfish tips. Don’t be afraid to slow way down and let your bait just sit on the bottom. Notice their mouth is in the bottom of their face they want to eat things off the bottom (crabs, shrimp, etc). Letting them find it will be the best case scenario. In the winter the fish slow way down and get spooked easily so working that bait fast around those shallow fish will scare them. A lot of the techniques will be similiar to what you through for small mouth a lot of finesse swimbaits. But don’t have to swim them, dragging and bouncing are very effective. Lastly don’t be afraid to use lit tackle. The go to is a 2500 reel with 10-15lb braid to a Fluor leader on a 7’ rod in the 6-12lb range. These a lot to learn but that should give you a good starting point. If you have any questions on saltwater fishing let me know.

So when you see them chasing and they're not biting we go slow? Cause I've had very frustrating days seeing reds eat right in front of me but they don't bite, once I went through my whole tackle box and they didn't bite any lure, but I didnt think about slowing down and bouncing it off the bottom, I'll try that next
@brennanmahoney9591

@@alana.8593 Yes especially when the waters cold they will get very finicky and will spook easy. There have predators and are not at the top of the food chain unlike most LGM bass so they are not always as aggressive. A lot of guys will use z man baits because they float so when you stop your bait and let it sit it doesn't lay flat on the bottom, the tail will float up like a shrimp or crab making it easier for the redfish to find and eat. But I can't stress it enough you can't fish too slow for redfish, and if you see them out it in front of them and just let them find it (AND WHEN THEY ARE NOSING DOWN ON IT DON'T MOVE IT). A good way to think of fishing with artificails is when you are fishing fast you are covering a lot of water and a lot of fish are seeing your bait but a lower % are eating it. When you fish slow you are covering less water so less fish see your bait but your presentation should be that much better resulting in a higher % of fish eating your bait. There is so much to learn about red fishing but this touches the surface on some mistakes a lot of people make. P.S. another secret a lot of guys are starting to use is ned rigs for redfish/trout. The way they stand up on the bottom with the bait pointed up is perfect. I like to use a heavy wire ned head with a 3.75" z man streakz.

@@brennanmahoney9591 thank you so much for this info, i forgot that reds/trout aren't at the top of the food chain, i always thought that if i reel it fast they would just react to it and eat it like a bass would, definitely changed my whole perspective on inshore fishing. btw i fish on the southern end of the laguna madre (SPI to be exact) if you would like to link up and wet a line sometime. Again thank you so much for this, i will try the ned rig next time i go.
*Aye sloth boy is killing the saltwater game*
Yooo! I used to watch all of you guys years ago when y'all only had 50k subscribers or so. Quit watching a good bit of y'all due b/c I mainly saltwater fish. But I have stayed subscribed to you, Lunkers, and LakeFork due to kinds of videos y'all post whether more saltwater fishing or hunting related. Love this video! Hope more inshore vids are to come
Awesome to see you fishing Texas salt. I grew up fishing the lower Laguna Madre. Looking forward to more from this send.
You should check out some tackle shops down in McAllen and Harlingen
Bro today's so weird, my other fave youtube fisherman, Lawson Lindsay, usually does saltwater fishing (So do I mostly), except he decided to go Bass fishing on today's video. And you, who generally does Bass stuff, going fishing in the salt for Reds. Maybe I should go fishing in a swimming pool next lol

Laguna Madre is an awesome place. I've fished there with my brother-in-law a few times. We always Target Reds and speckled trout. We always have a blast. There is a fish camp / Hotel in Flour Bluff with a marina and a restaurant that we have stayed at. You should check that place out. Makes it very convenient when you're from out of town
This is exactly what I wanted to see from you Jon!!! Keep the bangers rolling my dude!
You can tell when Jon holds the camera and when Alex holds the camera A1 quality!
Finally Jonny Bass going after some reds! Atta boy! Let’s goooo 🎣

About time you made it to the coast. You have been missing out on half of the great fishing Texas has to offer.
Need to consider wading during late Jan-March and the surf during the summer for trout. Sight casting tripletail in the summer is hard to beat as well.
Jon, I've been watching your vids for a while now and really enjoy them. I want to wish continued success in 2020!
Was NOT expecting you to start a FIRE new series tonight but daaaaamn. Im hyped up
Amazing content! Can’t wait to see the rest of this mini series!
Hey Jon I love that you're down in Texas on the coast fishing! I used to fish and cast net in Galveston. I recommend visiting that place and doing a solid video. I had a great time there myself growing up
Surprised to see this. Growing up on eastern NC, absolutely love saltwater fishing for reds, trout, and flounder. Keep these up.
Those were some nice bass jon. You inspire me to make fishing videos. Thank you
Finally came down to the valley 👌🏽👌🏽 there is good fishing in the Brownsville area too Arroyo city for gar and lobos for all species
More salt water fishing videos Jhon b 💯
Nice! I been waiting on some saltwater inshore fishing 👍🏻🎣 awesome video!!
Jon b you should so link up with ThresherFishing aka Coop. He knows all the secret spots around there.
Killer trip. I just added this to my 2020 bucket list.
epic video jon, loved it! this is the kind of fishing i love to see!!!
I love to see you fish where I grew up fishing, keep it up man
Glad to see something a little different from the usual bass vids. More Texas saltwater action please. Do your research and you'll find Texas Snook, Tarpon, even crazy Sailfish in super shallow...check Bob Hall Pier, Sailfish, King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel...untapped potential. And yes you should hit up ThresherFishing for a good south Texas collaboration. 30MilesOut, Ty and Teresa are good people too. AddictiveFishing did an episode on Texas Snook...good reference for location. Love your vids Jon, keep finding new content.
Always coming with the dopest vidoes cuzzi
Great video and js in padre island and my top five things to use in flats are ,topwater super spook jr, mirror lure, strike king redfish magic spinner bait, silver or gold spoons and gulp shrimp and this is my personal use
Love your channel bro! Keep em coming!!
Yes!!!!!! So glad your down here! Enjoy!
It makes my day like 1000% better when u upload a video🤙🏼❤
Thresherfishing is the king of saltwater fishing
Finally some specs and reds, keep it going
Great fishing video, stunning fish spices looking forward to what comes next.
Literally was just down there for a few days for the first time! Nice work! Did more surf fishing and had a ton of luck!
Great to The Slowe 2.0 is back. Next time try eating red fish (if you haven't already). They're super tasty. Also, can't wait for this glorious mini-series ✌️💖.
After living in Corpus for a year I learned to love fishing in the Lunga Madre. Some of the best days fishing of my life.

about time you do some saltwater fishing!!! hook up with The redfish hunter and thresher fishing!
Hey der Jon. Love your videos. Great video
I spent a week in Galveston this past week and met a ton of residents that’s never caught a red fish or a speckled trout so you’ve definitely accomplished something
Please more flats fishing, this is the best 🙌🏽
Enjoy it man, that's one of the most special fisheries we've got
This place is amazing, it has beautiful fish, congratulations. Hug !!🎣😊
Solid video brother editing is on point as always. Lets goooo! Love the saltwater send! KFNS!!!
glad you came to our home. I hope you enjoyed yalls time here
Thank you for realesing those red fish

Love your videos man. Keep on keeping on 🤗❤
Its about damn time jon!!!
Would be sick to see you rig up a tandem rig on the red fish. Please test it out. Like the logic lures tandem rig
Nobody: Jon b: LOOK at how comfy these things are.
Please more inshore fishing John. It's great!
I love your saltwater videos the most 👍
Yes! This is my type of fishing!
Make sure you wash all that salt out of your carpet and motor. Check all electrical connections for corrosion. Use liquid electrical tape on connections under dash and elsewhere if your gonna continue to fish the coast. Would love to see you do a matagorda/Colorado river redfish trip!
Way to go Jon! But you better rinse off that trolling motor to get the salt out if you want it to last.
Dude that’s living, fish, camp, cook, eat, and repeat! Awesome
Yeeeeee!! Another one. Let's gooooo
i recommend Port Mansfield and east Cut on Laguna Madre. you can catch a lot of big reds, snook, etc.
When you fish reds in shallow flats like that and their tails at breaking surface usually mean there eating crabs or shrimps. Should try DOA/artificial shrimp

Cajun thunder popping cork and an egret baits vudu shrimp...everything eats it

Home sweet home. Still living here. Couldn’t imagine you fishing here
Lucky is my favorite, I hope you're working on her "Best Moments" video now.
Love seeing people fish in the places I always fish. Should've stopped at Roy's and given the homies a shout.
100% hands down my favorite fish to catch and I this past week I caught my first slot 23 inches and chose to try eating it and by far better than any crappie or rainbow trout or catfish I’ve ever eaten
Love watching u man!!!
Good stuff you need to do more fishing here in CC! It’s the best!
You need to get your Texas slam bro! Glad your liking hunting redfish down now.. It's addictive
Thz for the vid love these
Good stuff jon
Jon B is my idol in fishing vlog.....awesome
I go speckled trout fishing on the Texas coast at least once a year, they really are one of the best eats for fishing
I imagine Thresher having an aneurism at seeing you throw that one swimbait for redfish all day and not a single spoon. Especially being in Texas.
I live just across the gulf of mexico from this on the florida coast and we have all this same kind of fishing
Man you needa go to Gordon’s bait and tackle in the morning and get some tacos, it’s a common south Texas fishing tradition.
Hands down favorite vids are the redfish
love the vids keep up the goodwork
Ayyy Jonny B with the fire content once again
