Stalker In Japan - Why I'm Moving

After 3 years of living in Japan and being followed home multiple times... I am finally taking a break from this country I love so much to explore the world and possibly find a country I like living in more than Japan.
It is still my favourite country on the planet, and of course no place is perfect but even after weighing out the pros and cons, the pros far outweigh the cons when it comes to this society.
Thank you so much Shunsuke Fukuzaki for shooting this and Tyler Crane for colour grading!!

I remember you talking about your peep hole being tampered with on social media a while back. I thought that was incredibly disturbing. I'm glad that you have a good head on your shoulders and you're vigilante and aware of what's going on around you. I've seen videos on KZread of live streamers having encounters with stalkers in Japan. It seems to be a more commonplace issue over there. Glad you're bringing awareness to this. Stay safe, Alex!

This is wild. It’s important you listen to your gut, but equally important you keep chasing your dreams. Perhaps an unexpected pivot, but just imagine what it could lead to! Keep going🦋

Stay strong and do what you need to do to protect yourself. That sounds so creepy. It looks like you've had an amazing experience there and now you have more adventures ahead of you. On the upside, it's great to see you have a KZread Channel!

That’s horrible what you’ve been through I can’t imagine how hard is for foreign women living in Japan and deal with stalkers. I hope be safe wherever you go, the world is not a safe place. Please try to go in groups

I’ll be honest, I just recently travelled throughout Southeast Asia for four months alone and occasionally I would meet up with friends. I never had any problems. I do prioritize my safety, but I prioritize my freedom as well. ❤

If it is an only reason to make you decide to move, I feel so sorry for it. Hope you find alternative options ahead still remaining positive impression of Japan even a little.

I LOVE JAPAN! I honestly do. But perhaps me being one of the only blondes around during the pandemic, resulted in me getting more attention than I wanted 😅

@@AlexandriaoKayy When I moved from the east side of Tokyo to the west side, I was surprised at the difference in atmosphere and environment. There were often quarrels on the crowded morning trains in trying to get seat on the east side, but even on the packed morning trains on the west side, there were empty seats, and the atmosphere inside the trains were always calm and comfortable. I guess it depends, but anyway, good luck for your future success!

I often see people saying that Japan is safe and that it's okay for a woman to go to a convenience store alone in the middle of the night. Unfortunately, Japan is a country with many sexual crimes.

Be well. My first GF had a stalker… she would hear sounds outside her window late at night … can’t live scared but it’s an unfortunate reality for attractive women.. good for you … keep moving , be smart and keep your head up … be well Alex ❤D

I know a male youtuber who was stalked by a woman and had to move out. Good looking people are more likely to meet stalkers.

I would consider stalking as the biggest issue foreigners should be aware of. So many scary stories I have heard it’s not funny anymore
