Stair Transfers! - Spinal Cord Injury

Ойын-сауық

This is how I get up and down the stairs to be with the rest of my family. Sometimes there are places with stairs. You just gotta go one or two steps at a time to get up and down! Not every place is accessible, but many places can be adaptable with the right mindset, people, and equipment! #wheelchair #spinalcordinjury #floortransfer #KZreadr #paralyzed #Minnesota

In this video I didn’t bring my legs up and down each step. I just let them drag, which could potentially cause a sore on the heels, but I was careful 👍🏼

Don’t even worry about your legs. It’s FAR more effort, as you saw.

    JackInAction 助けを借りることが出来たら行うことができます。 腕や手は普通に動きますが、あなたのように1人ではできません。 たいへん素晴らしいことだと思います! わざわざ翻訳して返信ありがとうございます。

@@JackInAction What I did was to move my feet back and forth,You know like doing some squats till build some muscle in the back of your legs, that will make your legs heavier and that even could give you some more stability while standing. I dont know but you should at least try it.Hope it work for you

My Goodness !! Sell that house and buy one story house , so that he doesn't have to go thru all that trouble !! I can understand he doing it in other places ,but if he visits you very often ;. Why make him go thru all that ? It's not like he's wearing just a cast , he he is paralyzed from the waist down !! Unless you're doing like some people do when they don't want someone in their house , they put up a high fence and buy two really mean dogs in order to send a message : We don't want you vising us !!'

@@JackInAction Thanks for replying , but I still believe that's not fair . Today , while at a Walmart , I saw a young woman on a wheelchair , and you came in mind . I couldn't imagine that young woman being my sister , visiting me and having to go thru all that trouble . You can still use your arms , but if for some reason , you lose strength in them ( I hope it never happens) things will get worse . Keep in mind that you don't have to be "showing" that you can get upstairs . If it was you ; Would you have done the same thing to your sister or father ? Think about it . It's not fair ... It's not fair . If you tell me that's not of my bussiness , I will understand . Have a nice day .
