The rhythm changes as they go into the "pas de deux" section into the absolutely gorgeous swing group part will forever be one of my favorite dance sequences in musical theatre This is brilliant

Saw this 6 times. The first one from the first row. And baby... this is the place to enjoy it. The staircase scene from the first row worth every penny!

Everyone in this voice class I was in a while ago had to learn the beginning part of this song so it's cool to see how the whole thing is staged with all the dancing
Interesting. I’ve seen this twice before in different productions, and in one Billy’s character was shot, while in the other Peggy’s character was shot.
Why did there have to be an ad right in the middle 😭😭 This is one of my fave routines everrrrr

Hi yes it’s part of the show or they stab either one the beginning of the ballet you see the guy all in black. The guy runs that’s why the gun goes off

@@jackdonohue7893 well, I loved Julie Andrew’s and (I’m going back a bit) Edmund Hockridge. I also loved Top Hat when it was in the west end.

@@jackdonohue7893 what I liked about him was his charm and stage presence, then he’d start to sing; Hey There! You With The Stars In Your Eyes, and I was transported. I also especially love Cole Porter musicals and those by Rogers and Hart, as you may have guessed.

@@jackdonohue7893 by the way…do you like the musicals from the 40’s? If you do, there’s a great orchestra called The Piccadilly Dance Orchestra who performs all the songs from this era.
