I got to know them few weeks back and enquired them here in bangalore. Its very expensive compared to usual modular kitchen made of wood/ply. For small kitchen its costing more than 4lakhs. No doubt it durable and long-lasting product. If one can spend this much money initially, then its a great choice.

The ply laminated cabinets also should equally last as long as the steel ones,If they are well made (if used proper screws /ply) and maintained well. But no one would like to have the same kitchen for 40-50 years anyways.. Hehe.. Almost 80% of the woodworkers here dont know their trade.. They show some photo from the internet and make it but then the client realises that it dosent even look close like the photo. The lighting, ambience, symmetry, prescision, colour palette are all very important. Which they totally neglect. (please don't go for glossy laminate. Go for acrylic instead Matt is the best) They are here just for work. They don't know how to use power tools or any tool properly to make their work easier.. They don't have the fine technical knowledge of even measuring and cutting wood. It's sad to see. Very few people actually deliver what they show on paper / photo.

@@chinmayasham3568 oh yeah, I had figured out when i was talking to few carpenters who basically takes projects on their own and do the suff customers ask for but after checking their work i understood. As you mentioned the technicality of the interior modular kitchen and what specifics to be used aren't at all followed. They mostly work on brining the figure what customer ask for. Something like northindian making sambar, they know its made of dal and the color should be something red-mixed yellow... they make it by looking at the picture. These people must work under some good interior designers who understand the expectations well. Put the carpenters in action with Right materials, So the things fall in place and we get exactly whats needed.

If our ground water contains salt like chennai's most area ground water,it will get rust definitely. Because in pvc Or acrylic moduler we use ss inside plate stand and oil stand, those are getting rust because of water. So it's waste of money.

Yes, 2000 looks a decent pricing. I'm building house in bangalore, 2200/sq.ft still so much money to put in for additional specification. When you do it with trust worthy contractor, you can get very decent finishing in 2k/sq.ft. Don't hurry in giving the project to one. search well and give it to someone who gives better trust to you and confident in building the house in committed time without degrading quality.
