Rob Daman why don’t you just leave skid plates raw steal. Like the front ones and body ones. Why does everyone always powder coat skid plates

It will rust then corrode away

That stuff is pretty awesome it has alot of corrosion resistancy without using that nasty blotchy cold galvanizing spray. Plus it weldable. Used to sell it to mills, mines and food processing plants where it's an area of repetitive repairs, for casings, shaft collars, exposed gears...etc. Crap I forget about this stuff picking up a can tomorrow, thanks man 😀

So much ignorance in the comments, this stuff is the industry standard for structural steel, grain silos and USDA food grade storage containers. When PROPERLY applied, the epoxy and polyurethane coatings from steel it provide over 20 years corrosion protection. This is also used in the marine industry for superior salt corrosion protection. The independent testing done by the US coast guard showed a minimum of 5 years corrosion protection in a controlled environment of 15% salt submersion. The ocean isn't even 15% salt.

Thanks for the video. I'm thinking of getting a grand vitara as a winter beater and was looking for cheap alternatives to powder coating for control arms and other under vehicle parts and this looks to fit the bill

Thanks for watching. From all the things I've read it'll hold up very well. Professionals are using this stuff. I did a lot of research because this stuff isn't cheap vs rattle can

It's used on structural steel, grain silos, USDA food grade storage containers. This shit has been on our semi truck frames for years and it's basically impervious to corrosion.

Great video I noticed you had two spray cans, one saying black and othe grey. Stupid question does the grey, come out as a gray color when applied? As here in Canada I was not able to get the black option. Thanks again
