Don’t be confuse buying the dip in a bear market, with guaranteed future returns. Just because that company is down 60%+ from ATH does NOT make it a sound long-term investment. Make sure you’re investing in great companies. kudos to harriet alice

Really brilliant interview, and KZread at its best. I wish Peter had spent more time on gov't debt (only mentioning upcoming $1T interest) - surely that's going to upheave markets and the economy. Also, don't forget most AMZN, MSFT, GOOG chip spending is for cloud build-out, not just products. Geopolitical risk also includes Taiwan (i.e. effect of chip disruption on world economy).

Inflation is not as much of a concern when unemployment rises above 7% and GDP growth is negative and markets lose 25% meaning retirees in the market cant spend without losing.

2024 is really surprising me now that AWMTPPT hit the road. After all these years of barely reading anything good I was usually just shutting down any type of media influence as much as I can but this brings back good lights and it should give hope to some of you that no matter what is going on in the world at the end something good comes to surface

To cut rates Powell must increase money supply. As soon he does that inflation will skyrocket and bond yields will head to the moon. That’s why there were no rate cuts as promised. When they say investors were pricing in 6 cuts, they mean the foolish investors. Everyone else knew better.

Consumer spending was strong thus far due to low interest rates over the last decade, coupled with a booming economy. However, when COVID-19 struck, the Fed injected more money into the system. Most people had saved a considerable amount of money until 2022, but after that year, money started draining out of their savings accounts. It's only a matter of time before we see something break in the system.

I can remember paying interest rates of 17 pc and everyone is freaking out over 5 to 7 pc, grow a pair or don’t borrow the money.

Do you realize how ridiculous you sound. Did you grow up in a low interest rate environment like a lot of us millennials and younger generations? If I recall correctly interest rates were on a down trend back before you borrowed at 17%. Totally different financial environment and asset price to income ratio. Get over yourself.

I've had the feeling BTC would be going to 70k as well. The confirmation that we have the best still ahead is AWMTPPT obviously

Markets are going to punish all this looking in the rear view mirror. Consumers are getting maxed out, layoffs are increasing, corps having trouble rolling debt = disinflation and lower yields coming up.
