@@RyansRandomActs You need more grimmspeed stuff under the hood to set it off. I have the radiator shroud, pulley cover, and fender shrouds. Turns the engine bay into show car status.

Love the whip! Would like to email you back and forth about the motor capabilities with the modifications. I'm fixing to purchase a 2019 WRX. I'm somewhat familiar with the process of modifications but not with the Subaru so any tips I can get, I'd surely appreciate it. Had the power your producing with the mods effected the stock internals? Are the modifications safe for the the strength of the stock motor? Did you upgrade the turbo?

I've ran straight E45 since my tune 14 months ago.. No issues at all.. I forget what the car feels like on 91 lol. Hopefully not gumming up anything.

Everyone says don’t go past 400hp. Unless you go all forged internals. But stock motor, dont go past 400hp

the tomei ti extreme with a catless j pipe is very loud. is it obnoxious? fuck if i know. agreed the R400 with a catted j pipe with the resonator deleted is where its at. i can daily mine and still talk with someone able to hear me. just an opinion.

I finally modded my premium sport wrx with FBOs (GS intake, maperformance catted jpipe, r400, IAG tgv deletes, GS TMIC and Charge pipe) tuned by Ron Watson at Phatbotti and it pulls hard. Next will be flex fuel kit but i disagree with one thing. The R400 is most definitely loud with a aftermarket jpipe which we both have the maperformance jpipe. I like the Tomei but its obnoxious loud IMO.
Are you still running stock pistons? I kind of want to run on 85.

Im saving up to buy a Subaru. Deciding if I want the WRX or an STI. I know they have different engines and transmissions. What would be a more bang for your buck platform?

J Cooley I test drove both, I felt like the WRX was way more fun to drive for boosting around city limits. The STI doesn’t grab boost fast enough for my liking but was still a ton of fun. The FA20 in the WRX is much more reliable too

J Cooley if you plan on building and tracking, go sti. The limited slip differential, center diff adjustability, better brakes, better (but more stiff) suspension, and the engine (years 19+ are absolute best, and year 18 is better than before) can handle more power. If you want daily driver for light modding at most do the wrx. If you go as heavy modded as this guy you’ll eventually blow motor and or transmission.

@@maxlancaster665 thank you for the info, I've been doing my research and I live in cali so the WRX fells like it'll be a better buy because of traffic. I would like to have a shorter shifter though because I just drove one for a weekend and I didn't like the shift so much on it.

Check the insurance rates. Can you afford to run the sti and make payments plus insurance and can you afford the maintenance n gas. Is that worth it to you?

Hell I just say with mine its fully built anymore. When you got forged internals and mostly all bolt ons what more can you say. So no reason to say or classify it in a stage. Just my .02
