I love staffies. When well trained they want nothing but to please their owner and love their family. This video just shows what they are capable of if they think their family is being attacked. This is a very well trained dog in this video with a well understood series of commands. I do not see it as being any different from a Police dog trained to bite people on the arm yet they are seen as being somehow heroic.

Heid Banger - 4 years late, but let's see if I can help you spot the difference. A police dog is trained to do a serious job in helping to apprehend suspected criminals. This dude shows people how to use their dogs as attack weapons. What do you think will happen if a civilian is attacked by a non-police dog for whatever reason? The dog (this breed in particular, which has a bad rep) will probably get put down for biting and being aggressive.

Makes me laugh how all the haters are commenting on this video like they know what they're talking about, the dog isn't being trained to be mean or aggressive and unlike a lot of so called pets, dogs trained to this level are actually less likely to attack someone, these people are dog trainers and know what they're doing.............. A little message for the trolls................. get a life, do a little research and trust me... you'll feel better about yourself xx Again nice Stafford! :)

good to see you are training an obedient dog this time but you should first train the dog to avoid the weapon. Basically you want the dog to retreat when a bat is being swung at them and know when to go in again. Besides this, it is also the wrong place to teach the bite as it is near the iliac artery. It should be the arm or lower leg only. Not the neck or upper leg or upper arm; else you are training for one attack then to be put down and you to have a manslaughter charge.

  • @ekg1569

There is nothing wrong with bite training a dog of this breed. Their origins are centred around baiting and bringing down larger prey. If a situation occurred and my Staff was to bite someone then I would be thankful I had the command to let go instead of trying to pry him off of someone's throat!

Hi there, I don't really agree with you guys to put this kind of video on youtube, 1st cause it shows like an agressive dog, 2nd it make people think it's dangerous, 3rd cause its once again a proof of what people fears, 4th this is why there are so many unwanted staffy in the RSPCA CENTRES as it doesn't show the best aspect of the dog. This is my opinion I love staffy as they are really loyal and always shows affections and love.

Shepherds don't hate people. If they did, they wouldn't be used as police dogs. The problem is that this idiot is 'training' a dog with a bad rep to do things that will make people think its rep as a dangerous dog is deserved.

I train in Krav Maga to protect myself, my GF and staffy if I ever had too.. If I happened to be walking down the street and was approached by someone with a knife I would rather use my calm demeanour, or protection skills than put my dog onto them. I know that she would fight to the death if she felt threatened or I was in trouble. But I would never want to put her in that situation, because I love her and would hate to see her get hurt or put down for something I probably could have worked out hopefully without violence. I would rather go to jail or hospital than have someone kill my dog. I know she's that tenacious she would protect me with her life, without ever being taught to. And I love knowing when my GF is home alone that Bella is sleeping in the lounge patrolling 24/7. That's the best thing about staffys, their loving, caring, tenacious, full of energy and they have more courage than any human thats walking this planet!!

Lucky you. They are amazing dogs and so intelligent. They're fantastic with people. I absolutely hate APBTs as they have ruined the reputation of all other bull breeds! I used to live near Staffordshire where there were tons of Staffordshire Bull Terriers. We often had strays roaming our school grounds nicking the cricket balks and crunching them to shreds. They were always friendly and wanting to play. Our family have had 4 over the years. I want another one, one, day. ☺
