Staffordshire Bull Terrier Puppies - 3w5d

Staffordshire Bull Terrier pups!
Nutmeg had her puppies! In the end there are three healthy pups. Here they are at 3 weeks and 5 days.
I am not the breeder - just an Aunty :)
These are Violet's little siblings. We are not taking one home but the breeder is keeping Emmet so he will visit us on weekends so he and Violet can become BFF's.

How can anyone think that these beautiful, innocent little babies are born mean? I have 2 staffies, both rescued so I don't know if they were as chunky as these ones but the older staff, Skye (12) looks like Reign and Omar (2) looks like Rose. P.S. The 15 people that disliked this are obviously haters.

I had a staffie and she lived to 11.5 years. I had her since she was a pup and she was so gentle and affectionate. Sadly she had an illness after my dad died as she loved my dad. I guess she suffered trauma and my mother and I had to put her to sleep. When I used to tell people I had a staffie, they instantly said I must be a thug. I said no, I am not and staffies are the most loyal and gentle breed with people and children. I would not have any other breed.

if they are just the original staffordshire and not the american staffordshire they do stay pretty small but can be rather excitable if not well trained, if anyone watching this is thinking of getting one understand they are a smaller dog so are good for apartments etc but need a lot of walking as the pent up frustration can be a little nerveracking for people not used to them, im in the uk so we use kilograms but fully grown the males r usually no larger than 18 kg and the males are obviously heavier than the females, these puppies are gorgeous, i have a staffie cross apbt and hes 9 months and soft as anything

aye, they dont get very big, but do get immensely strong, stubborn beasts 2 so if you dont feel you have the "Alpha" instinct or arent confident of your dog handling abilities they can be risky, a out of control staffy is well able to kill most other dogs which they have a rep for, but really they r just dogs, pretty chill about the house in my experience the amstaffs are the energetic ones as they were bred as work dogs when they got to america. cute lil monsters

Odon Flanagan I have 2, both get on, they have a great relationship with other dogs, friendly to humans, even sweeter around kids and babies, I have 2 friends who also have these dogs and are a dream without any especially long training, probably the same as your average border collie, you sure you are talking about staffies and not american pit bull terriers?

@nelly dee the Stafford is actually the breed that replaced the ebt in the pits againt dogs, so yeah in ways it was used a pit fighting dog for a bit in the breeds history as well as a vermin animal, but many other knock off s and what I mean by that is a lot of other mixed Bull-Terrier type dogs crossed with each other over a period of time that created the Pit-Bull Terriers, and the apbt, amstaff, irstaff, so in ways the staff Is the Grandmama of the Pit-Bulls

They are super cute but they need so much more attention than most breeds in every context. Puppies are super cute but they are high maintenance and the breed remains so. Legally they should not be sold under 10 weeks of age. To do so is robbing them of essential bonding with their mother and potentially playing with their siblings. I bought my Staffy seven years ago, I am an adult, she costs so much in terms of time walking and training her, feeding her, making sure her water is fresh, ensuring she feels valued and loved as she is. I don't begrudge her that and I don't regret it. Dogs are huge responsibilities if you have honorable and sustainable intentions to meet all of his/her needs on a day to day basis with love. They do not deserve resentment. I get up at 5.10am, feed the dog, ensure she has water and give her affection. First priority getting home, walking her, feeding her, giving her fresh water then affection. Staffordshires are much harder work than many other breeds. More demanding. She is the sixth dog in my life, the first of which is not a rescue dog but I think it is more breed specific. If you want a dog, trial a dog that is lower maintenance.

To MrBennet256: Totally different...both physically and in character. The Staffordshire bull terrier is much more tractable, in general, than a pit bull. Just a few thousand Staffords in the U.S....bred carefully for both physical soundness and stable temperament. Compare with, probably, one million pit bulls....bred for who knows what. bulls

beautiful dogs,my favourites but can I ask a question? did all 3 grow into fit healthy dogs? as someone who has had staffies for 29yrs of my 38yr life I know a lot about the breed,i done a LOT of research when I got my 1 st dog because I knew in the wrong hands he could be a deadly weapon-esp his size, but both my dogs have been sweethearts-the question is also a bit of a statement, all three dogs looked quite unsteady on their feet,i don't mean the usual rough and tumble play but I saw them fall many times in the video,so im just wondering did it turn out nothing or was there an underlying issue? I really hope not-as I said,i love staffies and woldnt consider another breed, and its not like its the only breed ive had,ive had boxers, little terriers ,mongrels etc and I wouldn't take any other breed over a staff

I don't think your explanation is very clear. Staffies are a type of pitbull. Most of the pits in America come from the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, but the breed has expanded so much that physical characteristics have changed greatly. Other than that, there isn't that big of a difference, even in temperament.

I think you will find you're incorrect. Staffies are a type of 'pitbull' as are American Staffords, the American Pit Bull Terrier came from Staffordshire Bull Terriers, American Pit Bulls name were changed for the AKC as they do not register fighting dogs unlike the UKC. So yes Staffords are the foundation of Pit Bulls.
