Stack train on the Everett high line, 9-17-2014

Today I'm in Everett, WA, about 30 miles north of Seattle.
A stack train led by BNSF 274 (SD75M) is at high throttle, pulling a stack train up the "high line".
Directly in front of my position at ground level you can see the main line. That continues up the west side of the city. The high line climbs up, then turns 90 degrees and heads east. A mile long tunnel carries the track under the city. You can just barely seen the tunnel entrance at the end of the video.
On the other side of the tunnel is Everett Station and connections to Delta Yard and the Stevens Pass main line which runs all the way to the Midwest.
This train probably originated in Seattle and is Chicago-bound.

Nice. Keep hanging around Everett, my old home town. The overpass in your vid used to be open to car traffic under it at the foot of Hewitt Ave. It was the gateway to the waterfront at one time. Now BNSF has closed another over/under about a block south of there at the other end of Bond St. (runs in front of the old depot) that cut off access to a beach I didn't even know was there and I lived in Everett over 50 years. Could you make out the old entrance to the stairs that connected the low line to the depot? Its there somewhere in the weeds. Trains could stop on the low and passengers had to walk up to the station. Lotta history within a 10 block radius of where you stood. Keep up the good work. I always enjoy your videos.

We get bit of foreign power around the area - CSX, NS, CP, KCS. Breaks up the monotony of orange.
