UI UX defines a product every single second the product is used for. And OOS11 UI was an aesthetic paradise. The font, the transitions, the icons. It had just the right amount of customizations. Sure, OOS13's base code might be more sorted out and stable but it can never justify the mess OPPO has made of OOS13's UI.

I think OnePlus is known for their Simplicity and Orginality. After the merge with Colour Os it feels kinda heartbreaking for the Og old users who felt that grief that Oxygen Os isn't the same as it used to be. The device feels more likely to be an Oppo device. But really miss those good old days with user experience we had with Oxygen OS, really wish that Oxygen Os gets back the same as it was but we all know that change is the part of life. We should learn to accept the fact that the things we love often disappoint us sometimes but we love anyway afterall.✨

i too prefer oxygen 11 in op8t because of battery life so need to downgrade. which version do you have of oxygen os 11? i.e: 11.0.????

No mention of the fact that they removed the ability to change Bluetooth devices from the volume slider. This was quite useful since you could change your media output from the lock screen.

umm, tried oxygen os 12 after much peer pressure for testing 5g speed on my 8T, next day had oxygenos 13 waiting to be installed. Did that and it was pretty much the worst mistake of my life. Downgrading to 12 and then to 11 , restoring all backup(in zip format and then unzipping) took me 4 hours. I m in no way saying that oos13 is bad, its just after oos11 there isn't ONEPLUS in oxygen os anymore, its Oppo, the icons, the extra features which others might find useful , i personally felt i was making my 40k INR phone feel like a 20-25k one. Sticking to oos 11 at the expense of no 5G. but its so worth it. EDIT: just went through the comments and found people thinking the same. ONEPLUS's decision was the worst, idc for whatever the F reason they did it, it sucks so bad.

@@archit_0021 Nah man. if u want 5g u gotta update to oos 12 which is partially color os . and then another OTA of 1.2 gb something purely for 5g.

I started my OnePlus journey with OS 11 which was really good with good battery backup. But now OS 13 is also good as it gives my phone a new touch with couple of customisation options. For me I am happy until the os is ads/ bloatware free with stability.

Thank you for the detailed video. No doubt Oxygen OS13 has more features for customisation and also smoother but in my opinion old iconic oxygen os 11 was better in terms of every part. Most important camera part.

Huge thanks for the video. For animation you can slow the animation speed to match that of oos13 and flagship phones (888) are meant for performance not for animation. What about the native features of oss11 like ultra-high video resolution, motion graphics smoothing etc. ?

OOS 11 = 1.9GB (Was good enough) OOS 12 = 4GB (Too much Bloat, Resulting in performance drop) Custom ROM Android 13 = 1.4GB ( Including Google apps and latest security patches, Light-Fast-Stable, All banking apps work out of the box) It was an easy choice for me.☺

I would prefer OOS11 any time as it is stable and I have no problems using it.OOS13 is feature rich and I am not a fan of the colour os.

And next year i am going to buy a pixel phone because i want clean ui. and OnePlus was given that but not now. but i could not got back to oxygen os 11. But i i could live with oxygen os 12 until next year and buy a Pixel 8 pro or 9 pro. But i the pixel 8 pro is coming out this year but next year it would a little bit cheaper when the pixel 9 pro lanuch but if the Pixel 9 pro is much better than the pixel 8 pro i would pay extra and get the pixel 9 pro

The reason why battery life is better on OxygenOS 13 is because you have an option to disable high performance mode and it's not forced

I held of updating to android 12 & oxygen os 12. Feels like a brand new phone. Although I prefer the look of Oxygen OS 11 the features on 13 are great.

Please compare camera quality in Oxygen OS 11 and 13....as i am getting bad quality pics in 12 & 13... Which was way better in 11

Oxygen OS 11 with minimal customisation looks premium. Oxygen OS 13 just looks lie 15 k phone. Not impressed with those useless launcher on 13 and high performance mode still no use. Device delivers same in normal and high performance. 👎

@SHAAX GAMING Yes bro we can,I rollbacked from 13 to 11 without going to 12 in my 9r,just use the Myapplication2 and the zipfile of oos 11

Also color customization is far superior in OS11 because you can define a color code and set to white, which you can no longer do since OS12.

What about security? I'm not a fan of 13, but does it make sense to upgrade for security reasons?

I really love update on OOS 13, but it will be great if OnePlus (or Oppo) bring icon of OOS 11 and font consistency of several widgets and styling. Because the fonts are mixed between Oppo font and OnePlus font. It's great OS but poor implementation of design aesthetic

Im still on oxygenOS 11 because it is the last pure oxygenOS. The later versions are basically colorOS. OnePlus stopped caring about their customers when they merged their software with oppo.

I couldn't agree more for the gaming performance. Ever since oos12/13. The gaming performance is horrendous and the cpu usage goes whack and the gpu usage becomes alot lower.

With the os 13 i encountred the problem of proximity sensor problem, once i use some clothes on the sensor it works but with my skin it doesn't, so when on a phone call the screen stay on so frustrating

Some apps are still locked at 60hz for some reason on Android 13 stable OP8 Pro Eg. Instagram, Microsoft Edge. Except for this issue I am totally fine with ColorOS Transition.

oxygen os 13 removed the iconic calculator trick which showed never settle on calculating 1+ =. It had been an iconic feature in oneplus phones and with oxygen os 13 its gone now, completely gone.

I am surprised no one noticed this bug yet, on OOS 13 9RT when you capture 4K videos the colors looks fine and normal on OnePlus gallery app, but when watch that video on Google Photos or Google files the video colors looks oversaturated, i thought it must be Google bug or something, then i uploaded the video on youtube to see actual colors, i was surprised that the colors are looking oversaturated.
