Hello Kleebz, I've discovered a quick way to reach the desired outcome. By masking the can and then navigating to the advanced tab\ Developer Debug Mode checkbox \ inpaint tab select the 'invert mask', you can input the prompt the same as provided in your video to achieve the result. I hope the explanation was clear. thanks

For the last part of generating the new woman yes that would work. I do prefer doing it the other way since I was trying to get some of the person to influence the generation and easier for me to see.

4:48 the closer to the foreground hands & faces are, is the most likely they will be generated smoothly with less issues. that is what i have noticed.

Yeah I probably should have picked something that didn't have a reflection. But that would be too easy. It's actually a possibility of using inpainting and lowering the denoise strength.

nice tips, using fooocus as well and this was really helpful.. U run it locally or you have a good build PC ? I was using digitalOcean but had some issue with machines and now I don't have any other platform.. I did not try the new version of Fooocus yet :(

I am running locally with a Nvidia 3070. I happen to be a PC gamer so the video card gets plenty of workouts. Have you tried any other platforms online?

I don't know if this happens with everyone or just me. Whenever I write something in negative prompt (which I don't want in my image), it seems to fooocus on it more or expose it further!!!

I don't seem to have that problem but I also am very limited what I put in the negative and have been trying to get better with better prompts to avoid things I don't want. But also find that negative prompts are not very strong in Fooocus. Even with extra weight.

That was an awesome feature... But for some reason the renders are worse quality as when I generate the usual way. Does the inpaint feature use an inferior model? AND / IF that's the case is there a way to switch model?

The inpainting engine in Fooocus uses whatever model you have selected. Depending on which mode you use in the inpainting section can effect your results as well.

really struggling with it adding on to the product right around the mask. Any advice how how to get it to stop generating right onto the product?

It can be difficult depending on the type of product. Things like cans with well known shapes is much easier than many other objects.

It has been changed around and renamed in the latest update. "Enable Advanced Masking Features" is now at the bottom of the inpainting area and no longer in the debug menu. It enables mask upload and also the new auto masking feature.

I’m trying to do something similar but for clothing. I’ve still life images and want to create models wearing them, but not always in standing position. Is there any way to do it, with the clothes very close to the original one? Thanks

Not really. Simple clothing you may be able to pull it off using image prompts. More complex clothing styles would be difficult. There are a couple projects I have seen that are getting better with clothing but not that has been integrated into any UI I know of.

Did I just saw you inpainting the entire image around the can at the end? lol Why you just not inpaint just the hand and the can and use "Invert Mask" ?! a lot easier and faster!

Not really with how I was doing it. It took very little time since I wanted to keep some of the hand and arm and find it easier to see what will be staying.

You can try adding some detail to the prompt about the background. It often will help. Also look up some terms about focusing cameras and such.

You would have to mask each object and try to generate around them like with one. But I will say for some things it can be difficult in my testing. Objects that have normally defined shapes work well but others do not. For example a can is a consistent shape so the AI will not usually add much to the can shape and distort it. But jewelry is very difficult since it comes in many shapes and sizes so the AI will often change the shape and add on to the object.

If I understand what you are trying to do, there is not really a way to keep existing clothing and changing the pose. The only real way to keep same clothing is using inpainting and masking everything but the clothing. Of course this will not really allow for different poses with the same clothing. CPDS is used to mostly copy the same structure of the image like pyracanny. The standard image prompt will probably keep similar clothing but not the same.

Nice technique. I have learnt a lot of basic information from your videos. I have a question for you. When I drag an image created in Fooocus, which is based on Apple MacStudio, onto the Input Image area, it does not react at all. I have to save it to the desktop first and then drag and drop it. What could be causing this?

If you are talking about dragging between boxes that might be the browser not allowing it. I don't know if that works with all browsers. I believe I read certain ones won't.

Do you maybe know how to do the chaos function inside fooocus? Its a function inside midjourney to make big variations in the image but I can't figure out how to do it in fooocus.

And they just added arrays as well. I do mention those in my video about the latest update. They are similar to wildcards but you include the array in the prompt and it does them in order instead of random. But there should be an update to make it so wildcards can be used in order instead of random soon as well.

I cant get the object to show up. What settings did you use under the beer can and the mask images? Inpaint, Improve or Modify? I rewound the video several times and I cant see the settings.

If using an uploaded mask like I did it must be black for the area of the object and white for the rest.

To clarify, you mean taking an image of an actual product and inserting into another image already made? Not really with Fooocus. That would need to be done with more traditional image editing most likely. You might be able to use Fooocus to help touch things up in the end using inpainting.

I was waiting for someone to tell me how to use this mask upload feature when it appeared in fooocus. I hoped it would be able to insert the product into the image better than photoshop =D. for example, by entering into perspective and changing the angle of inclination, setting all lights and shadows. I think that sort of stuff will come at some point but we are not there yet.

Can't get this to work. The product looks ok, but the woman looks all washed out as if photographed in a white out-of-focus mist. Tried prompting with a darker backdrop, but it refused to change the background. Tried both PNG and JPG, transparent background and not, and changing Model but to no avail. Styles as in video. Started with a perfume bottle, changed to a soda can but no. Tried transparent PNGs but they don´t even register. Restarted several times but no. If I try without product image and alfa it works perfectly, but then I of course get an AI bottle or can. Very strange.

I have found that sometimes the source image and the inpainting do not work well with each other. Have not fully determined why but I run into similar issues when inpainting with some real photos. Sometimes changing the image a little in a photo editing software can be enough to help.

It can be a little hit or miss I have found depending on the product. Certain things with well known standard shapes and size makes it easier. I have attempted other things with mixed results. Jewelry for example is very difficult since things like that it want to add on to the item.

Probably not easily. Generating the logo won't work so you would need to start with a logo and work out but that is something that might be better for traditional photo editing at the moment.
