Stabilize Shaky Video - Easy Tutorial in Premiere Pro
Фильм және анимация
Easy Tutorial on how to Stabilize Shaky Video footage, in Premiere Pro! Also works with Final Cut Pro.
Rig Stabilizing: • P&C Rig Review + Short...
- Problems with camera shake?
- Reduce and/or remove shakiness.
- There's three ways to stabilize your footage: (basicly)
- Use a lens with an image stabilizer.
- And/or a rig
- And finally, digital stabilization.
- The first two are the most important. You should always do your best to get as stable footage before you start editing.
- But, if your footage still look a little shaky, you can try an effect called "warp stabilizer" in Premiere Pro.
- Let me show you how I do it.
- I hope that was helpfull, and if you have any questions, please comment bellow.

Yeah I agree! These other youtubers will add all this mumbo jumbo for 3 minutes about where to follow them... like.... subscribe.... and then finally they get to the 30 seconds you only need and only came for.
Thank you so much

The British accents caught me off guard....
Are you from Molde? I don't know if that's the Sail or not, since i've only been there like 20 times. The way you pressure the sentences is of a east-land dialect. Great video by the way.

When you are doing voice overs on a Mac the sound is low… do you use a pre amp to get the volume "higher"? I'm asking in English instead of Norwegian because it's May other people that is wandering about the same thing. I love your videos, and it's funny for me to know that other Norwegian youtubers that speaks English exist, I also watch your friend's videos you probably know who I mean… andyax :-) keep up the good work and I would really Appreciate an answer if you've got time :-)

Hei Eskild :D Jeg skal filme en konsert om ikke så lenge, det skal være til en liten dokumentar. Jeg skal bruke Canon 5D mark iii. Har du noen tips til filming i en slik situavasjon?
I'm using CS5 and I don't have warp stabilizer only wave warp. Do you know how to get that effect on CS5?

Hi! I've looked into it, and it seems like "Warp Stabilizer" was first implemented in Premiere CS6 - and that previous version relied on After Effects and/or third party plug-ins. So I would either recommend using a dynamic link with AE, or upgrading to Premiere CC. I think you get a discount if you already own a previous version =)
Hey Eskild, can you upload more great videos like this? to learn a little more of DSLR Filmmaking from a master like you! :D Regards.

I mean when I am the camera man and I'm chasing someone running' how do I avoid the extreme shakes? Thank you.

Fuad Abdalgalil The best solution would be a so called "steadicam" or "glidecam" which help stabilize your footage. Running and filming is one of the most difficult things you can do, and there's only limited what you can stabilize in the editing. So as I mention in the video, always do you best to get as stable footage as possible, before you start editing =)
I have two much shaky videos.. When i tried to stabilize Premiere Pro cropped my video. Whats the solution
I cracked up at 00:10 xD
what is the name of the music
+Eskild Fors Hehe, I liked the faux English accent during tea :). Very helpful video, my darn footage is shaky even on a tripod (just by depressing the on off button, swivelling etc I end up with that shaky footage), thanks for the advice, I I think I'll need to get a rig!
@EskildFors

+Saffy_d2 What do you mean "faux" he he ;) But yeah, I very rarely use a tripod, but prefer a camera and a lens with image stabilizer =)

+Eskild Fors sorry yours was one of the world's best English RP accents :). Yeah mine hasn't got image stabilisation, I should have thought about that before I got the lense, however the lense is awesome, I got the Panasonic G7 + Olympus 45mm 1.8 :)...I'm still going to see if I can get away without a rig for the timebeing, but gosh the shakes are soooo evident!

bro it shows error warp stabilizer requires clip dimentions to match sequence so what i do plz help
@EskildFors

This is because your sequence have different settings than your video clip - e.g. your sequence is 1280x720 - but you're video is 1080. You can solve this by "nesting" the video, which you do by right clicking the clip and select "nest". Then this clip get's it's own sequence, which you can adjust with the correct settings ;)

I shoot on 16:9 format that is 1920 x 1080, i tried in the same way you did, it worked but it changed my video resolution to 960 x 540. I am getting two black bars one on top and one at the bottom! And it is very irritating i want my footage resolution to remain the same that is 16:9
@EskildFors

+Yankeet ronaldo If you change the resolution you have to scale the video appropriately ;)
@yankeetronaldo4286

+Eskild Fors I did not change the resolution , as i applied the warp stabilizer effect, premiere pro changed the video resolution. I did not do anything it itself changed the resolution. I want my video resolution to be as it is, i don't want the black bars. In short, when I am adding the effect, The video is getting cropped are you getting me now !

Yankeet ronaldo If you have footage with a lot of erratic movement, it sometimes zoom in too much to compensate. Try dividing your clip into smaller segments

You make good and helpful videos, but I think you should try not to talk with so much pauses between sentences, I think you videos will become a lot better and more fluid when doing so. Keep up the good work
