Yep, good old sweet bread. I loooovvvveeee it. Who else is on the mouth watering train with me? I started grinding cinnamon and bay leaves together. That combo enhanced the flavor. I use a lot of it in my friut and vegi drinks. Cheers.

My husband loves sweet bread... anybody in my family making it and they have to make one just for him... his mom loves to send it up with anyone traveling as a nice treat for him. So just yesterday he say hun you feel you can make sweet bread.. I think you can because you does do well with baking...I replied never had an interest to do it, because I personally don't desire it... but Sam, you now have my interest... you made it look so simple that I'm going to surprise him with this for Thanksgiving... so thank you very much and I appreciate all your details.

@@Andrea81678 do you mean evaporated milk? If so, the evaporated milk is better. You can try with both milk and see and which one you prefer, but the evaporated milk much richer.

Receta 2 tazas de harina para todo uso 1 1/4 tazas de coco rallado 1/2 taza de azúcar 2 cucharaditas de polvo de hornear 1/2 taza de frutas mixtas 1/3 tazas de pasas 1/8 cerezas 1/4 taza de mantequilla a temperatura ambiente 1/2 cucharadita de nuez moscada 1 cucharadita de extracto de vainilla 1 cucharadita de canela 1 taza de leche evaporada: puede usar leche de coco, leche de clavel o agua si lo desea. (También se pueden usar 3/4 tazas de leche) Agregue líquido según su textura. ¡Engrase la fuente para hornear! Precaliente el horno y hornee a 350 grados por 1 hora 10 minutos, inserte un cuchillo para asegurarse de que salga limpio. Use más o menos frutas si lo desea. También puedes espolvorear un poco de azúcar granulada por encima.

In from Barbados and we bake this sweet bread. My batter is not as wet and takes only 45 minutes to bake. Your bread looks delicious. By the way your description of the recipe does not include the butter

You can use splenda, coconut palm sugar or leave out the sugar. Also, the fruits will act as a natural sweetener if you do not used any sweetener. You can use one and a half cups of flour as well and reduce the milk so the fruits can bend in well.
