He is the voice of the performing group, their voice. The instruments support him and become part of his singing. I think I was trying to extend a compliment to all of them.

I love the singer's emotion, his previous interest in preaching has an obvious influence.

his "live" versions are soooooo good.

Saw him in May 2019 and he blew me away! He knows how to work the crowd. Waited hours after the show to meet him. He was carrying the cape from Apollo and I got to touch it! One of the best shows I've ever been to!

Still buzzing from seeing them play the Troxy, London with my Cardiff soul boys on 5/7/17. Completely stellar. Voice overwhelming and the tightest band ever. Go and see them live if you can.

I honestly thought he was saying, “As I am, as I will always be,” but I copied and pasted these lyrics from the internet. They’re probably correct, and I am probably incorrect.

The videographer is almost as great as the music. Letting him slide in and out of the shallow depth of field is genius!

Maybe not in this particular video (because it all seems to be done in one shot) but in the majority of these so called 'live' mahogany sessions the different camera angles suggests they perform the song a few times over, the vocal will be lifted from one performance (or even recorded in a studio) the the visual will be edited together from the different performances, it's how they do a lot of these kinds of video's these days, check out Talking Heads ground breaking concert 'Stop Making Sense' which pioneered this method of recording performances, they took three performances of the same gig and made it into one coherent concert
