John McGinn had Wanyama in his back pocket that day. You could see how Celtic were rattled when Brown goes behing the goal when Hooper equalized and was giving it the "get it up ye" pish. At that moment he thought Celtic had weathered the storm and St mirren would fold like always against Celtic, but it never happened that day. Even better was beating Hearts in the final and their eternal moaning that St Mirren lay down to Celtic in 1986 must have made it all the harder to accept defeat. I suppose this time we deliberately beat Celtic just so we could see Hearts bottle it in the final. Its hard not to pity the Jambos at times, still stuck in some mid 80s PTSD nightmare flashback.
