I love the Eastern rites; the reverence and solemnity are awe-inspiring (I'm Roman rite). Thank God for the Eastern Catholics.

The music at the beginning of a Divine Liturgy sounds like what you would expect if the gates of heaven were opening up. Beautiful

Is there a specific style the iconostasis is built in? It seems very unique, in a lovely way.

Hi Heather, Yes anyone or any Catholic can become a member of the Byzantine Church. Find a Byzantine Church near you and speak to the priest. He will welcome you to his church. Our Liturgies are so beautiful. Check on google or here is a link to our Diocese. www.eparchyofpassaic.com Best of luck. If I can be of any more help, please ask. God Bless!

They are fully Catholic, but when they where returning to the Church a few centuries ago they asked if they could continue using the Nicene Creed without the Filioque clause, as was their tradition. They were allowed to do so, but as Catholics they are still obligated to believe it, which they do.

Second Peter, 2:22 - But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire. Proverbs, 26:11 - As a dog returneth to his vomit, so a fool returneth to his folly. 12 - Seest thou a man wise in his own conceit? there is more hope of a fool than of him. Revelation, 22:15 - For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie. --- --- --- As you can see! This is how Jesus calls and see you, just like Peter or a very wise man Solomon. Please return from all this, because you stay far far away from reality and this pleasure costs you wary much !
