Great video, but is there any way of slowing it down to normal speed. I tried using the little “Settings” cogwheel and that didn’t work. Spent a fabulous vacation in Grand Case the last week of February and the first week of March, 2020. We hung out at lot at La Playa at Baie-Orientale. Can’t wait to go back next year finances and coronavirus permitting !

Kurt I just watched your video St Maarten drive from Grand Case to Simpson Bay. I was interested in seeing the road conditions on St Maarten as I am planning on renting a motorcycle while I am there this fall to tour the island. Your video showed that the road are in pretty good condition (sans potholes caresses) What would you estimate was your driving speed?

Will believe the speed has been around 80 km outside the towns and 40-50 km in the cities. There are many high road bumps that must be crossed in 1 gear. I wish you a good drive, can recommend to get around and see the island in my own vehicle / motorcycle, my cousin and me we enjoyed it a lot :-)

Kurt Panduro Kurt. Thank you for taking the time to respond. I've been to St Martin before but it was 30 years ago. I'm looking forward to returning and touring the island again.

Were those trees or just low bush??

Know the drive well, especially along the road from the area of Plage Orientale to Oyster Pond, where I stayed. Even saw the left-turn lane at the top of the hill to take me to Captain Oliver's Resort at Oyster Pond. The best side of the island for me: no traffic backups and altogether less crowded. Last visited late January, early February 2016.
