We did a carnival cruise to St. Kitts last January. We chose to do one of the open air tour buses that take you around the island. It was so much fun and I would highly recommend it. We saw a bunch of them outside the cruise terminals and found one that looked like other cruise passengers were taking it too. It was $25 a person for a several hour tour. They showed us the beaches, the jungle, a castle ruin, and the pass where the island narrows to its iconic shape. There were multiple stops where we bought local food (we bought the best chicken and rib platter off a side of the road vendor open air BBQing and it was amazing!) and soft drinks were provided. He even had local beers for free! It didn't feel super touristy as they took us to more local spots. Everyone was kind and helpful. We love the Caribbean.

Really enjoyed the vlog on one of my favorite ports. Couple of corrections though. St. Kitts & Nevis are not part of the British Virgin Islands. They have been an independent country since 1983. Secondly, Alexander Hamilton was born in 1755, not 1855, and the house was built around 1680.

Sounded like a great tour. Next time I go to St. Kitts, it sounds like a great idea. Another option for a private tour is Thenford Grey tours. He does a full day tour of St. Kitts that is tremendous.

I would go on the island tour

Absolutely love your videos. It's great when you take us with you on your excursions. The little bits of history is a great added bonus. Keep up the great work.

St. Kitts is one of my favorites. We taxied to the Shipwreck Bar and snorkeled. They have black sand beaches and wild but friendly monkeys. Also went on a snorkeling/drinking excursion to an actual partially sank ship. Again, great snorkeling and great hosts on the catermaran. EECC, you are our idols! Keep traveling and sharing.

Going to St. Kitts this Sept. Would like to know about this Shipwreck Bar too!

We took a day rate at The Mariott in St Kitts. We also loved Nevis. It's tough to choose. That's why we went twice lol

St Kitts is such a beautiful island. It is also one of the best places that I have ever been snorkeling. I took my boys last year on an excursion that I booked through Royal Caribbean called "Kayak and Snorkel" and it was amazing!! The guides were amazing, and we were able to see stingrays and sea turtles and not just the tropical fish that you typically see on a snorkeling excursion. Thank you both for sharing your experiences with the world!! I love them all!!

When we were in saint Kitts we took a train tour and really enjoyed it.very pretty views from the train.and lots of Pina colada s,that they gave you on the train.this was back in 2017

We were on the inaugural cruise and loved St. Kitts and absolutely LOVED the Aqua show!! Glad we got to meet you, Jason and bummed I only got to say "hi" in passing to you, Elise. Love your channel and watch all of your videos.

We visited St. Kitts last month with HAL. Opted for an island tour there that included Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park which was the highlight of the tour! So next time you might enjoy visiting the fort! We will do a ferry tour over to Nevis (like you did). We'd love all the historical sites! next time! It's unfortunate we have to choose right? But there's always a next time! Great video!

Hi there Guys, Thankyou you very much for your really good videos. I have been to the Caribbean in 2016. Every Island is different. St Kitts and Nevis is nice. Its well worth a visit. The beaches are good , the beaches are better in Antigua and Barbuda.Barbados is also great and is beautiful. Thanks and enjoy your holiday

My first cruise we went to st.kitts. we did the train and catamaran tour around st Kitts. That was an awesome experience. Saw monkeys and old sugar mills. The train went by a school, all the little kids came out to wave. The catamaran was great too, saw flying fish and drank local beers and soda. Friendly laid back people. It must have been 105 when we went.

Ting is really good, especially from the Southern Caribbean. I've totally noticed differences. I actually like a good vinegar coleslaw, that one looked good.

We did an island tour of St Kitts in May with Thenford Grey Tours. Like Teach, a mature local who proudly showed us much of his homeland. (His son actually lives in our AL town; it is a small world.) I loved hearing his childhood experiences, as he was about 7 years older than us. But he left the driving to his nephew. No boulder bumps. We visited the Romney property (Mitt Romney’s ancestors) with beautiful landscaping and a batik shop. My main focus: Brimstone Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site on a hill with sweeping views of the Caribbean. The setting for that could have been Hawaii; so similar. Guess it’s the volcanic origins. We ended at Frigate Bay for a delicious lunch and a float in warm, comfortable water. (And gave a big War Eagle when I saw the flag on the restaurant ceiling.) We said if we return, we would give Nevis a try.

Ahh so crazy. So we very nearly were on the same excursion as you all. We chose a beach break on Nevis with Shore Excursion Group but it was canceled but we newly chose yours. Boo would have been cool! Great vlog!

Definitely take a look at the link in the pinned comment and look at the excursions available for your upcoming cruise. They have the best ‘back to ship’ promise I have seen in a third party company offer.

Next time we go to St Kitts I want to do that excursion!!!

Next time we go to St Kitts I would most defiantly like to do a Nevis island tour. That looked awesome.

Awesome video, you guys always do a fantastic job of capturing your excursions. We’re going to St Kitts next year and we’re looking at an excursion similar to yours and one that just goes to Pinneys Beach on Nevis. Was that the same beach you went to? And would you recommend the Beach from what you saw?

I did a tour of the romney estate in st kitts on my last trip. I will switch it up and go to Nevis on the prima in November 11 day.

Yes! We actually have a series from AmaWaterways from November in Holland & Belgium and are planning a USA river cruise this year.

We did an island tour of St Kitts our first time, but Nevis looked amazing and we will find Teach next time!

Loving your vlogs of the icon. Did you think you were too close at the water show? I do understand about the comfort of the chairs for sure, I wouldn't have lasted on the bench seating.

I’m surprised this is your first time in St Kitts- I have been so I would have stayed on the ship to enjoy it while other passengers go visit the island- matter of fact I won’t get off the ship until the end of the cruise- I have done the Caribbean islands so many times that I don’t need to do it if I was on the Icon of the seas - it’s nice to be on the ship if it’s not crowded

Great video. We've been to St. Kitts, but not Nevis. When we go on the Icon later this year, we will defiantly go and check out Nevis. One question, at the aqua show, where you sat, did you two get wet because you were down front?

When discussing the history the gigantic part that African slaves had must be mentioned. 📚📚📚 Most, if not all, Caribbean islands had whatever European settler success stories only because the slave labor was free to them after purchasing.⛓⛓⛓ This is especially true with any plantation like Alexander Hamilton would have been very familiar with.

That tour looked awesome! I'm not particularly a beachy type of person so I think that tour is right up my alley. Now for a question about the crepes on the ship...Do they have just a regular chocolate spread for them? I don't care for Nutella but I love crepes. (I can hear people gasping now "You don't like Nutella?! What is wrong with you?!" LOL. I just don't like hazelnuts.)

Only issue if you do an excursion thats not thru the cruise ship and something happens and you don’t get back in time that could be an issue. I’m too paranoid.

This was shot last month in January and it was much cooler somewhere around in the 80’s as opposed to the summer months which is much much hotter! Winter in the Caribbean is very nice! 👍

Isnt the lack of crowds because it is at 80% capacity? What about when its summer vacation with families and its 125%?

I suppose it changes from island to island.

Before booking with a third party company, people with mobility issues need to know if they have to go outside the port to pick up the tour and where they will be dropped off when it's over.

You lose an hour on the ferry boat that is something to think about

Agreed, absolutely hideous ship and the AQUA show looked like a cheap copy of “O” in Las Vegas but I guess some people are easily impressed. St. Kitts & Nevis might be beautiful but it was very boring. At times it seemed they were struggling to make it interesting…
