Seven friends, recent college graduates, are searching for a place in the real world, as they face issues of career and commitment. Leslie and Alec (Ally Sheedy and Judd Nelson) try to save a crumbling romance. Wendy (Mare Winningham), a shy virgin, hides a love for Billy (Rob Lowe), a reluctant father/husband still searching for goals. Kevin (Andrew McCarthy) is a cynical writer who scorns love until he realizes he's in love with his best friend's girl. Kirbo (Emilio Estevez), a law student, obsessively pursues an older woman. The beautiful, neurotic Jules (Demi Moore) paints a poignant picture of life in the fast lane. Against the backdrop of St. Elmo's, their local hang-out, they save, betray and love one another as only the closest of friends can.

His wife was played by an actress named Jenny Wright. She was a up and comer in the 80's but kind of fell off the map. She was in this film, Pink Floyd's The Wall and Young Guns II, Lawnmower Man, Near Dark.... I wonder what happened to her.
I never understood why they all thought it was “unbelievable” that Billy’s wife was with a guy at a bar when Billy would literally cheat on her and they knew it

The only dedicated characters in the movie Are a guy who wants to sleep with his best friends Girlfriend And a man who is stalking a doctor. Always found that funny. Lots of cheating.

Well I wouldn't know about a tiny part especially since I haven't seen the movie in a long time.
That music is terrible. That's not dancing music at all.
The scene that caused me to say "Blah" and get up and walk out of the movie. Awful...

Sad, depressing and cynical movie. Hollywood loves this garbage.
