Rick, You are the Master of the Caribbean , always very informative with so much great info.. and it's to bad about that other island that is like a ... Strip Club... yes they make you feel nice and warm and fuzzy ... until you run out of money and I am glad you did not play ... Strip your Dollars ... and left.. and when I am down there in my boat .. I will not bother stopping and leaving any of my money there either... I say let them dry up and float away... Robert

Great job on this video Rick and Brenden. You recreate the ambiance of what its like sailing the oceans and you freely share a wealth of information about what different scenarios require from the Captains point of view during a sailing. You offer advice about the nuisances of the different anchorages both pro and con which is invaluable. The backdrop of the beauty of the Caribbean is the icing on the cake. Now I will sip on my Bailey's and Coffee and enjoy watching this sailing again and remember my own time on SSL sailing with the Moore family. Cheers Mates, Orlando Rick

When sailing between Isles de Saints and Guadalupe I had the experience of meeting another yacht head on and we were both on starboard tack beam reaches!!! The rules of the road don’t allow for that! We literally came up to each other with 180 degree opposite winds. We could also see the water being tossed in to the air where two sets of waves moving in opposite directions and meeting up. Your video brings back lots of memory of the area. I can’t believe that was your first visit to Antigua after all those years in the Caribbean.

I agree after seeing what the US has gone through in the past with Hurricanes I can not only wonder what can we do but what will the banks do now that your house is gone? Will the banks forgive your mortgage? Will you be paying for just the land until you can get a loan to build a new home? Will the insurance pay for your lose? Is it time to write it off and file for bankruptcy? In 2008 my wife and I lost everything and almost my life because of Diabetes. That felt like a Hurricane only we got to save our furniture and car, everything else was gone. Now we find ourselves unable to start over due to the Medicare Gap and the price of medication I am forced to take every day. Another thing we didn't lose was our Family and Faith in God! Thanks for the video Rick!

Cruising = If you don't like your neighbors , can always move . Great vid. I notice u dont have a foam luff on the genoa , whats your view on those , better sail shape & less strain on pressure points, flatter sail for heavy wind .

I'm sure I told you before, that I lived in St. Lucia. When those rivers overflow, they really OVERFLOW! I've witness the power in person. The force of the water rushing down those massive mountains, really give the rivers power. Dominica and St. Lucia are two of the most beautiful Caribbean islands though. Thanks for the reply. Safe travels Captain.

The Island of Hispaniola, Haiti (French) kept poor for decades repaying debt to France, while Dominican Republic (Spanish) was allowed freedom to grow. It clearly is an example of the French money grabbing mentioned.

Wow, really sucks that you can't just drop anchor without paying! It's getting insane with everyone wanting money and as much money as they can even if it causes people to starve and be broke all the time. If I was producing perishable items such as food I'd make the politicians pay 3-4 times more than the normal citizens. I am beginning to hate what this world is coming too! Every time I get a little extra money someone wants to take it away from me!

Oh, Not sure if it'd be good for You.
