A few explanations for questions that may come up: - Why isn’t Yoshi’s Final Smash considered a Transformation Final Smash? - Transformation Final Smash not only transform the character, but also allows the character to retain a majority of their moveset (tilts, smashes, specials, etc.). Yoshi’s Final Smash is more akin to Fox’s or Rayman’s Final Smashes, which changes the character while limiting their moveset to one or two basic attacks. So, while Yoshi does transform into Super Dragon Yoshi, the Final Smash only allows Yoshi to fly around and shoot fireballs. - Why isn’t Ichigo’s Final Smash considered a Cutscene Final Smash? - While Ichigo’s Final Smash starts with a cutscene, the main portion of the attack (the wave/projectile) occurs afterward during normal gameplay. This differs from Captain Falcon’s or Isaac’s Final Smash, which portrays the main portion of the attack during the cutscene.

Honestly, i do miss the transformation Final Smashes that give you OP movesets (Fire Mario, OG Super Sonic, Ichigo Bankai Form, Naruto 9-Tailed Fox Form, SSJ2 Goku). Perfectly executing Sora’s OG Final Smash (Trinity Limit + Arcs Arcanum) was also fun; having to learn when to press B was rewarding. But I understand the changes; the newer Final Smashes do get you back into the action quicker.

Square seems to have found a good balance of using pixel art in a modern way with their HD-2D games. I'm sure other kind of games could make very nice things, like Metal Slug, but the main problem may be that animating sprites may be more expensive than just making and animating 3D models. Anyway, I really hope that Square's HD-2D inspires more companies to use pixel art instead of 3D modeling everything.

Which is how it went in the anime he used the attack and every sound affect was deffened out and pretty much void

I love the choice made to use MvC3's hyper combo sound effect at the beginning of each Final Smash. It especially fits with the cinematic Final Smashes (and Ichigo's).

I like how all of these are like “oh that’s a cool reference or ability” and then bomber man commits terrorism

I Love the new Ultimate Style mugshots in the beginning of their animations.

I'm glad to see this game is still going

I will hope that one day they will fix Marth's model so we aren't looking at just a cape all the time.

This is my headcanon now. Samus used rainbow powers to take down homophobic mother brain

All characters with transformation styles or some sort of different final smash that lets the characters be in a different state while continuously attacking has a timer or meter that shows at the bottom of their percentage screen. Bowser, Yoshi, Sonic, Game and Watch etc. But I noticed that Donkey Kong doesn’t have one and it goes on for pretty long so it’s kinda difficult to tell when it’s ending. I hope maybe this is just an oversight?

He was Hermit Purple before Hermit existed. Since his final Smash is a reference to his Special shot from Mario Strickers Charged Football, a Wii game released in 2007.

Oh c'mon, Dragon Ball Z was already stale by the Cell saga, it has become increasingly stupid lately and they just keep pulling things out of their ass instead of letting the show get wrapped up Have you ever heard of "jump the shark"? because DBZ has done it WAY too many times and it got really stale They already went "god level" where they are immortal, if they want to do anything else with the show, they need a reboot, even Naruto with their ungodly filler decided to wrap it up

Yeah, Ultimate really was a step on the right direction (perhaps too far at times, but I'd suppose it's better to get it over with quickly than not) Those final smashes that let you control your character seem like they go on forever, maybe it would be best to shorten the duration but make hits stronger?

@@ivrydice0954 both Pyra/Mythra and Kazuya's are Semi Cinematic Final Smashes, starting with a cutscene than attacking within the stage right after. Ichigo's has been visually upgraded, and for the better since the original Megetsu Variation be harder to land a hit.

I remember animating the new zss sprite back when the forums had the sprite workshop back in like middle school Sage mode for Naruto wasn't even a thing back then this is insane to see how much growth this game got, big ups to Cleod9 and all the devs

12:26 Goku's hair going white while transforming into SSGSS is a great touch, and an even greater reference to DBS Broly. I love it. although I did notice that for a split second he returns to redish hair with the SSGSS hair, before it cuts to blue. not sure if intentional or not, but it would look a bit smoother if it went from white to blue instead

I have analyzed the Sound of the Final Smash, it is from Marvel vs Capcom 3.

One thing that i really liked before is how charcters that died came back on the field with their a platform that represented them. (Sonic coming back on Chos Emralds Mario coming back on some blocks etc..) those were really nice details. Sadly they got removed

I love the attention to details to Ness's final smash where Paula and Poo use PSY Teleport to come at the beginning and go back at the end with that too.

Jigglypuff's puff up animation is so clean. I can just imagine how much effort went into it

I kinda missed sonic being a transformation final smash...like I remember using it and I felt like a damn god! But we just got boring smash 4 and brawl super sonic...I didn't like that one as much because you're just one big hitbox and not much else. At least with ultimate theres some sense of speed and power going faster then the speed of light

@@agentdon1760 the problem with the Ultimate one is that it has so little input and is kinda weak overall. You just move Sonic up the top of the screen and hope your opponents have enough percentage to actually die from it, instead of just bounce up several times until Sonic transforms back.

I cant believe the game came this far. I remember this way back in early 2000s when I was younger. This did great.

I've heard that some people say that Mario final smash doesn't usually get a kill but this video does

I LOVE DKs new smash, I think the arwing could have its health bar slowly depleting so as to show the time of the smash but honestly that’s just bc I see it there and want it to have a use

I never actually played a lot of this game, but i must say the giant detailed jigglypuff is pretty intimidating.

Sandbag's the best one because you have to experience the pain you dealt to him for all these years

There's no grounds to claim that, there's no reason why Sakurai couldn't add any of the things in this game, considering everything it has was pulled from existing smash games Most of the characters here (Chibi Robo, Goku, Geno, Black Mage) where already never getting a rep in the game, it was just obvious (Sakurai already said that Animes don't count and the other 3 where very minor characters with little fame, specially black mage, if anything they would pick Vivi), so it has nothing to do with Sakurai seeing this game or not
