It wasn’t really visible in the player cams, but shadic was definitely super nervous. A couple times while he was holding shield you can see his hands shaking trying to angle it. A tough loss, but it was still super impressive that he was able to play through nerves so well

He might have been preemptively doing SDI in case he got shield poked by the jabjab power dunk/rising tackle but I could be wrong

The same happened with Spargo vs Riddles on a last game. Spargo did an unfortunate SD on the last game. It's either coincidence or Riddles has some dark magic juice he isn't sharing with us LOL

Man Shadic got tilted after his big mistakes. He still has a chance but I do feel bad for him. Very good set nonetheless. Riddles played very well. Dude is cracked with Terry.

He got that revenge at LMMM recently, and he utterly dismantled Riddles in the process forcing out the kazuya in a 3-1

Watching this back after SHADIC has become one of the top players and has won a major, feels really great to see those predictions coming true

question : how do you do the combo "upthrow > upair > charged rising tackle" properly, do you have to use coil/DT coil ? and when exactly do you use it, just after the up for the upthrow ? you do the thing and then you jump and upair ?

I hold down as I do the throw, jump like you see him do in the footage, c stick up air, input up+a right after. For drift, I hold down but also to a side a bit.

Another horrible take saying Terry is better against swords than Kazuya is. This commentator is horribly misinformed saying that Terry does well against swordies when in fact he utterly hates matchups such as aegis, lucina and especially shulk.

@@janswhatsupdoc that's his opinion though. Objectively kazuya has better match ups and more cheese. And he has better results. No real evidence to say Terence is better but he's cool none the less

@@terakoinfinity9523 he doesnt have better matchups statistically, it's just that any character with 0-deaths commonly used, such as luigi and kazuya, have far more opportunities to just cheese someone for fucking up. kazuya's worst MUs are far worse than any of Terry's worst MUs

Shadic reminds me of early Spargo, he's really good but cant take a loss, why did he roll his eyes at the end? He made a rookie mistake, Riddles was LITERALLY flashing the rising tackle with the down angled shield and he still went for the roll in.. ggs

It's not bad matchup. Terry against a sword. The sword can fight him well. Edit: Swords have hit boxes inside as well. It's just knowing your character on what to do when it us the time for it. Corrin can fight in all ranges. Has jab and more for up close. Also all his moves have up close hit boxes. The Terry player had a good game because Corrin can fight him well.

Riddles let him come back from the at the end. There’s no way he’d ever let so many drops happen. Riddles is a good guy.
